Still need to get the body pieces painted, but with the blacked out taillights I had I became very popular with the D/FW departments, so I decided to go the next extreme and blind them. Once I get her cleaned up I'll post better pics

I have them in my shop, along with the Yukon tailgate piece with camera mount and a new front bumper. I'm going to get them painted and installed with the new wheels and tires before posting pics, she looks kinda rough right now

How difficult were the Esky tail lights to install?

It wasn't too bad. I cut all of the wires and soldered them together, it takes a little bit more time, but I personally don't like the crimp connectors. In my experience they typically cut through the wires, causing bad connections. So I cut, soldered, used heat shrink for insulation, wrapped in electrical tape and ran everything except the load resistors through the plastic tubing. Took me about and hour and a half going slow

I love the looks of the all-red tails, and especially the oem Esky ones -- I just don't know if I want to go through the expense of it all. Then again, I've gone through silly modding expenses before in the past, so why would I think this might be any different?

You didn't have the all red G3 LED Tails? I have the all red G4 LED Tails and it looks great. I'm using the stock resistors on mine and it doesn't get the fast blink. So what you're telling me is you never had the fast blink and now all of the sudden it's doing it? If you need some I still got mine from vled

Ha! Silly modding expenses.. most of these mod expenses are pretty ridiculous but hey, if cars are your hobby, then what else are you gonna spend your money on?! I too am looking for this combo set, but it looks like its a rarity to find someone who wants to sell them at a DECENT price. Esky tails, 3rd brake light, side mirrors, and rear bumper cover... sick.. i want it all!

Then, noticed that BOTH would tend to fast-blink when the amp gauge shows under 14 amps. Recently, my left blinker began to fast-blink all of the time, regardless of amperage. So, out of the truck they've gone.

I DO have some of the 6-ohm resistors from the same place sitting in my garage. I need to install them to see if that helps. (Anyone have an good "how-to" on adding the resistors? And should I put it in-line with the factory ones, or scrap the factory ones and install only the aftermarket ones?)

I got the appliques from newgmparts.com

I don't have any pics during the day right now, I just had surgery on my foot so I'm locked down for a few days, plus I'm going to get all the plastic pieces painted before taking pics during the day

REAL easy to put in. just take out the original factory ones and install JUST The after market 6 ohm in place of it. I would splice it in the solder it for the best connection, and a little heat shrink wrap wouldn't hurt either!

Thanks, Felix. Do I need to snip the plastic resistor connector off the G3's wiring, or am I leaving it in place, and splicing into the wires downline from the connectors? I need my hand held when it comes to electrical crap... Pretty pitiful.

Yea snip the original black box looking resistor off the original G3 tail and in place, put the new 6 ohm resistor-- just replace it basically and splice the wires accordingly (black to black, etc.), you don't want both resistors (both stock and new) on there... just the 6 ohm one. Let me know if you need any more supplemental info!
