any luck?
Everything is reinstalled, liquid filled, and ready to roll…. No crank (1st drive motor inside transmission is the starter). Ran the codes, EVERYTHING was lit up due to the batteries being disconnected for so long. Cleared all the codes and tried to start again, still no crank. Re ran the codes and it came back as the internal mode switch (I recall it taking a solid drop when removed, but visibly looked fine). Thankfully it is right inside the transmission oil pan, and easy to swap. I think I might have a solid lead on a used one for tomorrow morning, otherwise pushed back yet another week.

oh man.. that's brutal. Hopefully it's an easy fix.

when you said no crank, I first thought of the orange battery plug. most people miss the 2nd part of latching it the first time installing them. but that wouldn't set a tranny code.

No I got the specific codes P182E-00(internal mode switch invalid range) and P1838-00 (internal mode switch A circuit high voltage)

I’m assuming so, that switch is also the neutral safety switch

makes sense. I seem to remember a post somewhere about if they gear indicator on the dash doesn't light up. it means that switch is bad or something messed up with it causing a no start.

That’s exactly the problem I had, it shows all the gears but not the outline for where it is in the gears. Just got a hold of the transmission place that gave me the first gear assembly to dismantle and rebuild, they have the internal mode switch still and pulling it now for me $25, now just gotta drain the fluid swap it out from the pan, refill it and start her up.

I might have to pick that up after all, I replaced the safety switch and she still won’t turn over.. then work got in the way also. Getting it towed to Chevy on Tuesday to see if they can flash it to solve the issue, or if I’m just gonna have to replace the whole thing

I was hoping that would work. Hopefully you get a good tech at the dealership that is willing to help
