I was looking for the cheapest way to increase the factory rating of 200 HP, without hurting reliability or driveability. I finally decided the simplest, cheapest way to 400 HP was a trade, even up. I have an '07 Escalade now.

I miss the Tahoe but the Escalade is a nice drive. It's grown on me.

You couldn't just flip the air filter lid to double your HP? Just kidding.

I helped a bit my brother swap an LQ4 into his OBS C1500 RCSB TBI. I personally think it's too much work, time and money to invest in something like that and would do what you did as well.

In all seriousness, the extra power is obvious. The rack and pinion steering is much better than the recirculating ball, and I even found a deal on Goodyear Eagles, for the 22s, for it.

When I was young, I drilled about a bazillion holes in my breather. If there was any underhood heat to spare, I wasn't letting it get wasted.

LOL, oh well, live and learn.

LOL, I've only taken one vanity shot- it's the one in my driveway. The profile shot is a picture I got on line.

Well damn, guys. I wasn't expecting this much love.

I'm blushing.

Be careful, the GMT900 guys/girls are known to turn their back on you at a moment's notice. Likely as fast as their engines crap out that have the AFM still enabled. I know your Cadillac does not have that worry but just be careful.

I like it here in the trailer court. I may just stay.

I'm surprised you didn't just do a cam and long tube header swap. That alone is supposed to add 200hp to a Chevy engine
Would cam and headers add 200 HP to a smallblock Ford? Somehow, I doubt it. Anyway, I already specified I didn't want to affect reliability and driveability.

I forgot to add, earlier, but the '95 Tahoe was too perfect and too perfectly stock. It deserved preservation, not bast..., er, customization. This is how it looked when I traded it, except that I had installed the factory Rallye wheels.
