Does anybody remember who made the cheap trans pan with a drain plug?
I don't know what you meant by "cheap". But the ones I've found on eBay are $80-90. I would not consider that cheap! I'm following this because my new transmission is approaching break-in fluid change, and I want to take the opportunity to install a pan with a drain.

I put this one on both my trucks, surprised they are in stock, normally they are 3 months back ordered
nice pan, adds 2 quarts capacity. presuming you have the 6 speed.

Just saw a video about adding a "Current Gear" PID to the TorquePro app, so I did that and just verified that it works.

Link for that AutoSync?
Like everything, they've gone up in price.

Yeah, I should have specified 6l80 pan. Because I can find 4l60 pans all over the place.

Does your aluminum pan hang down lower and that's how it adds 2 quarts?
I'm afraid of getting a lower hanging pan that's also aluminum when I go off-roading I'd hate to crack it and dump the fluid rather than a seal pan that would just bend hopefully.

Cheap, yeah I was thinking there was one that someone found for under 60 bucks or so, but that's not cheap compared to the 4L60 pans that go for like $30.
That said, I'd be cool with $100. But anything above that and I might as well just weld in a bun when I pull the pan off next time and add my own drain/plug.

Is it something that lives in your OBD2 port, or is it something you flash and then can remove?

it's a "deep" pan so it holds more fluid, it sits about level with the exhaust pipe it does not hang below that. Unless you plan on going stump jumping it will be fine.

Yes, small dongle that stays plugged into the OBD port. I use one of their splitter cables that replaces the original OBD port and have the AutoSync tucked up hidden under the dash.

The AutoSync also gives one touch down on back windows and one touch up on drivers window. You can set the power fold mirrors to auto fold when vehicle is shutoff, can roll up/down windows or fold/unfold mirrors from the remote fob, and can set the TPMS warning pressure to anything between 24-79psi or disable the system all together. Can set the backup camera to come on for a few seconds whenever you use the turn signal. Also view and clear trouble codes through the DIC.

There's a few other things also I can't think of off the top of my head right now.

Wow! Your DIC just spews it all. Mine isn't nearly as forthcoming.

This is the one I used. OEM pan with a drain plug added. I already dumped another 6 quarts. Works great. I didn’t even jack the Yukon up. Just pushed a drain pan under, took out drain plug and filled it back up with 6 more quarts.

Holy cow, it does all of the things!
PML makes some nice finned aluminum pans in both standard and extra capacity, but they're in the $350-450 price range also, so not cheap
Yeesh, yeah that's a bit more than I need to spend on a pan that works perfectly fine as is. Lol

That looks like a solid choice, thanks!

not since high school, lol we got high centered on once one guy had a subaru brat that thing was fun we used to take thing out on the powerline roads up in washington and just go b@lls out as fast as that thing would go. We beat the crap out of that thing and it never stopped, nothing to do up there but smoke weed and have kegger party's in the middle of the woods because we could, we weren't bothering anybody because there's no one out there but raccoons and squirrels.
definitely some good times growing up, lots of memories.....
