You can feel a weight difference with those brakes installed? If so, how?

I have plans on returning and having them checked. I am not coasting like I used to. My coasting is clearly slowing down more aggressively than before. My steering also feels more weighted. Acceleration seems slighlty slower. I say maybe one of the pads may be constantly rubbing the rotors or maybe that tech may have overtightened something. I won't have time to check for another 2 or 2 weeks. One thing that I have noticed, 3 of my rotors are smooth to the touch but my driver side rear has grooves. Uncertain if thats caused by possible dust / contaminants or if that pad may be dragging?

Have them verify all the parts are correct. I've seen K2 Brembos get put on a T1 and vice versa and since the caliper isn't centered it will drag the brake pad until it's metal-to-metal.

These just arrived yesterday, so I already made plans to install them next week. I could have gone with the standard red, black, white, yellow or fluorescent green calipers Brembo offers, but i didn't want them to stand out too much at first glance. For an additional fee, Brembo can paint them any color of your choosing. They then follow that process up with a high temperature clear coat.

I'm currently running 1/8" spacers on my front wheels because the spokes on my aftermarket wheels grind against a portion of the stock brakes. I could have grinded it down, but that would have looked tacky. So my motivation for getting these is partially because of that issue, but mostly because I like the look of big brakes and their functionality. I also drive aggressively on occasions, so these will be perfect.

I wanted to post something positive after not liking the GM perf. exhaust, overrated and a pass imo.

The Brembo brakes on the other hand, BUY them if you like pedal feel or are coming from a German car. I feel everything they quote in the release - 42% larger, 16.1 rotors, 84 percent increase in brake pad area, 31 percent reduction in pedal force and 12 percent reduction in pedal. Imo, well worth the money.

For me, I felt the stock brake pedal was mushy, especially on hard braking - how hard do I need to push to get some feedback or get it to stop? They never gave me confidence.

When bedding the rotors/pads today, they actually overpowered the tires and locked them up a little which is the feeling I would prefer. The stock brakes could never overpower the tires which is sad because the tires are made for a mileage goal and road noise (imo), thus not the stickiest compound available. The downside to the brakes, now I want to show them off and look for a new tire/wheel combo. Very happy with this addition. Yes, they are expensive but it is something I felt the first time I pressed the brake pedal.
Any changes at all with your acceleration, coasting or mpg? Had mines installed and even returned back to dealership so they can verify that everything was done correctly. They swear everything is ok. My mpg dipped seriously since installing these, coasting slows down much quicker and it feels the Tahoe is making a bit more effort when accelerating. I am thinking of getting these removed :(. I do love the braking though.

I decided to install the Brembos today, since my wife's birthday is tomorrow - because she'll raise Hell and high water if I took her special day to do something for myself.

The install kind of went smoothly. The only hiccup was an extra charge for removing the stock heat shield on the front brakes and replacing the wear sensor to fit the front calipers. Aside from that, everything went smoothly. It was a two-man operation, with both mechanics on each front and rear brakes. I'll break them in locally on level ground for the first few days because my initial decent on a ramp was really loud. "Freight train stopping" loud.

Anyway, I'll post glamour shot pictures on a later date when she's all cleaned up. In the meantime, here are some preliminary shots during the install.
