LOL, definitely not (I have a NNBS). But knowing what condition many people's are in, and the condition of the vehicle, it's surprising that the seat looks nearly new.

Yeah I was fairly surprised to, the leather does seem pretty hard tho. I have a feeling it was a kids moms truck and he had it for a year and ruined everything else on it quickly.

Super pumped on the exhaust it seriously sounds stock quiet!

Also did some bumper modifications and hooked up HP tuners. Four d out some idiot put a 10amp fuse in the 15amp OBD2 slot so the port wasnt working. Fixed that and heres the codes.

Topped the trans fluid off and it didnt help, I command 3rd and it revs, command 4th and it feels like it goes right into 3rd 3,200rpm at 50mph. Also did a little burnout in 1st.

3/4 pack most definitely. Now, you just gotta fix it:anitoof:

New diagnosis time. Picked up a 4l60 that my buddy had in his 07 Avalanche, it died of old age and he had it rebuilt with "A bunch of good parts" to go along with his super mild 5.3. A few months after the rebuild it suddenly wouldn't do anything. he thought it was the solenoids so he bought all new ones and it didn't help so he yanked it and 4l80 swapped. When he dropped the pan to do the solenoids the fluid was grey and smelled bad so he threw it in the corner and its sat for 2 years. I just bought it for $100 planning to pull it apart, fix what needs fixing and slam it in this turd to minimize the time it will take up my shop. Also, this thing is so dang clean it's quite impressive.

While I was there he pointed to a pile of 2wd 4l80s that need "rebuilds" and told me to hurry up and get trans building down so I can start pumping them out for him lol.

Awesome! You may have lucked up and you and @iamdub can do some trading....

Remember, the 05 or 06 up transmissions have the speed sensor built into the pump. Your 03 does not so you will need the older style pump. Just so happens, Chris needs a newer style pump and harness and has the older style pump and harness:hmm: You may want to double check me on that being the only differences though. I haven't noticed anything else...

So, first things first. Just stopped working could be a million things, lol. You'll need to get that t50 plus socket and get it apart. If its not doing "anything", it could have a broken input shaft. They will usually do something

See, I told you. Once you do one, you'll do another :deal:

Also I have a T50+ Inbound now!

Haha! Awesome! I want one!

I don't want my forum reputation destroyed because I end up sucking at trans rebuilds so I'll keep my business separate for the most part lol.

I do! IIRC, pump and harness should be all I need. I might need the output shaft- something about splines for the OSS. But, I can't guarantee my "classic" '07 pump is any good if you're wanting it in trade. @pwtr02ss, can I tell by looking at it if it's any good?
The trans was bought as a core to be fully rebuilt. I bought it for $100- wanna trade the whole trans? I don't know when I'll be back down your way, though. We'd like to make a summer trip back to Tampa.

Dont really want to trade straight up because this trans was built with "A bunch of good parts" and knowing him he spent a pretty penny on the parts and then paid a degenerate to build it and they probably messed up on the install. So I'm hoping to salvage a bunch of parts.

I'd be down to trade whatever parts tho, obviously I wouldn't be able to use pump anyway in this Tahoe if I'm understanding @pwtr02ss correctly. Btw it is out of an 07 NNBS ltz 2wd avalanche. I'll have it home and likely broken down Friday.

you will have to disassemble the pump to see if it's any good. Inspect bushings and wear from the rotor surfaces. Minor scratches are fine. Just not big enough to catch your fingernail on. @Dantheman1540 if you're going for the full tear down...

That looks like something kinky, ordered and on the way :D.

Yeah I might as well do a full tear down. The only thing I'm not sure about for this turd is what torque converter he wants to go with or if he just wants to flush and cross his finger.

Rode this thing around all evening doing some firearms training, It has really intensified my want for a wrecked or beaten 05-06 Z71 to keep as a big golf cart. If I can nail down this tranny rebuild thing I can open my search up to one with no tranny. Come to think of it I would only need 1st and second for around the neighborhood anyway.

On another note, the suspension on this thing is worn slap out, hit a section of ruts and it kept bouncing like the suspension was a basketball.

Good deal. You won't realize how nice that ****** is. We started with some ******** $20 one from eBay...

You'll need to acquire a few more things but that will get you apart. I'm assuming you have duck bill pliers and snap ring pliers.

Those "cyclone" brand converters on eBay are like $150 or something. We had always bought from dacco in the past because they were local. Casey ordered the cyclone to test it out...its the same damn converter we had been getting for years. Dacco was bought out by transtar a few years ago and I guess they distribute the cyclone in a "transtar" box.

I also ordered a lip seal tool, some tack lube, and a 4l60 rebuild book just because I still like physical copies of stuff.

I will let him know about the converter for sure.

you can also buy these to save some headaches with using band clamps...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/203009481514?hash=item2f444edb2a:g:MEMAAOSwGzVfLNvw

https://transmissioncenter.net/shop/tool4l30e4l60e4l80eallison-harness-removal-teckpak/

this works great of you have a press...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/2635839248...Zx_BZcx-qQF2oB0wAvT9xeDctTgYokrYaAs23EALw_wcB

And for when you get tired of wrestling that pos around on the bench...

https://www.ebay.com/itm/114170313384

Out of all the other tools I've bought for transmissions, that stand has probably been best one. Only took me doing three and half to spend the money.

Oh come on now you've really blown my budget up! I think I'll just wrestle the thing for starters. or Make some kinda of wood jig.

Those are just future suggestions:)

You can use a big band clamp to center the pump halves, and small clamp to get the harness out of the case. You'll see what I'm talking about once you get in to it.
