I traded my chrome mirror caps to my buddy for his black textured ones. Sanded and painted them. I'm not very patient with this sort of work, but it wasn't so bad.

My entire mirrors are painted, not just the caps so it’s the bases too. But I have done the rear hatch trim on the top on my 02 which was pretty big so I know what it’s like. The issue for me is these have already been painted but I think once I take them apart I can use a stripper or something. They just weren’t done real good because they didn’t disassemble them and didn’t get them all sanded smooth. I’d rather start with some that aren’t ****** up but they aren’t cheap. Sigh.

Had lots of the black textured parts on the NBS.
Sanded, primed and painted and is still looking good.

Mirrors, bumper cap, door handles and even the bumpers and grille.

Edit. I did totally disassemble the mirrors and handles, so each part got the treatment rather than shooting it as a whole unit.

It's gone... sad day. Guy drove 13 hours down from Indiana and grabbed it this morning. Driving it back up right now

:bawl:

Guy got a sweet ride.

Know the feeling all too well.

Can’t wait to see what you do next....

They’re hard to find, the ones done right are anyway. Looking forward to your next project. Any ideas?

There was so much interest... I actually had 4 people ready to buy at the same time. BUt I didn't want it to stay around town cause I don't want to see someone else driving it all the time. So it went to Indiana.
