i have a polished intake and valve covers on my Vette.

Never again.
Detailing an engine is just silly.

I got barbaric with mine. I first stood it up in a tray to bleed out like a hog for a few weeks while I worked elsewhere on the engine. Then, I sprayed the inside (in each port and through TB) with foaming engine degreaser and rinsed that with the high pressure nozzle on the garden hose. Repeated until the foamy water washed out white. Then, I sprayed brake cleaner everywhere inside it, shook it around from all angles to stir it, and repeated until the liquid running out was clear. Soaked it one last time with the brake cleaner and blew it dry with the compressor. Inside was sanitary. If I remember, I'll check the manifold for oil when I do my oil change in 1,000 miles. That may be a few months, though.

So am I right in saying the second row won’t fold flat like the nbs did?

Sorta. Lmao. Not even close. So to get the same idea I need to have a platform in the third row so everything lines up on top of the seats when the back is down."Folds flat" as in to the floor?
I Wish!
My S10 blazer did that, loved it.
Just fold the 2nd row all the way forward and it gives you sorta what your looking for...

If the 3rd row seatbacks are folded down, they will be the same level as the 2nd row onesSorta. Lmao. Not even close. So to get the same idea I need to have a platform in the third row so everything lines up on top of the seats when the back is down.
What a brilliant design to a shit show.
Yes but you lose that storage space for useless seats where no one ever sits. A platform would be a better use of the space. If the 3rd row seatbacks are folded down, they will be the same level as the 2nd row ones

Same here. With 4 kids, 3rd row gets used all the time. Only time I’ve taken them out were to do some deep cleaning. Of course I also have a truck so it gets most if the heavy hauling assignments.Different strokes for different folks. My 3rd row gets used sometimes by either my daughter or my dog. I just keep them in there, never really had to remove them. They'd have to be stored in the garage somewhere then. Having the LWB gives a lot more room for stuff behind the 3rd row without having to flip them forward or remove them.![]()
Doh!Replaced the shifter linkage bushing on the suburban. I caught it rolling down the the street on the security camera. Thankfully our street is flat enough where it only rolled 10 feet before it stopped. Crisis averted.

Which one do you have and do you have any pics? And I was able to setup my catch can the other day.
Had planned to get pictures, but the baffles were pretty tight.
Might still pull it apart once more before the final install.
However, i used a stainless scrub thingy on the bottom, baffle above that.
Then while cutting out the baffles in the sheet aluminum, i noticed my scissors were nearly cutting perfect little windmill blades.
SO i made a center baffle as a little propeller.
Idea is that the air will spin when getting sucked up to the top.
And most likely it's just going to be a center baffle that flows very well...
Then another baffle above that.
then built a little stand off in the middle and riveted the assembly together.
I thought about another baffle at the top, but lazy me just cut one of the scrubs in half and stuffed it in there.
Installed a tube all the way to the bottom, nice tight fitting in the baffles, should force it to the other side etc.
It should work fine i believe.![]()

Yeah it looks terrible......Looked at it and now I'm suspicious that it's starting to lift itself again. It did this back when I was lowering it over a year ago. It just seemed to be getting taller and taller the longer I worked on it. That wheel gap is looking bigger than ever. It's not the wheel and tire combo- I compared them to the 22s when I was switching them out. They're right at 1/8" shorter OD. It needs to come down 1/2", maybe 3/4".

Yep, if it’s rockers are on the ground you know it hasn’t grown.I guess bagging it is the only way to fix the growing height problem!
FWIW, the driver side fender gaps look much larger. I must be losing my marbles. I'm only running on three as it is.
