Remote start will turn the heat and seats on when cold enough even if i dont have it on when i shut the truck off. Same of its hot in the summer. My auto hasnt come on unless my battery gets unhooked or dies. Hmmm. Weird ass gm electronics haha
If it's cold enough the heat and front seat heaters come on when remote started, but turn off when key inserted and I gotta turn them back on.

When it's hot, the seat cooling doesn't automatically come on when remote started.

If I'm sitting in there playing with the Tech2 and have the key on/engine off I'll shut off the hvac control unit. When I turn it back on the snowflake will be lit even if it was off when I turned the hvac head unit off by the power button. I also think it comes on in auto by default when powered on. I'll have to check that next time I'm in it to be sure.

It's not losing power and resetting, as I usually have the rear on and passenger off so it's just using the single temp for both sides.

Sometimes when my wife is in the passenger seat she'll switch her side on and turn it colder. It'll stay like that until I notice it days later and turn off the passenger zone button.

Well yesterday I started port cleaning up all of the casting flash on the inside of my ZL1 lid for my blower. I also got my plates for reenforcing the intercooler brick.

I post a bunch of my build stuff on IG - same screen name

On my '08 it doesn't matter what you have the HVAC controls set at, Auto or otherwise, when you remote start.

It basis it's decision on out side temperature.

During cold weather, when in remote start mode, the blower motor will not turn on until a certain engine temperature is reached.

When you get in you may notice the blower going full blast on heat and if you had the A/C on when you last shut the truck off it will resume those settings when you turn the key to Run.
That’s the way my 08 Silverado is. If it’s hot outside it will be full blast on ac when I get in, and if it’s cold outside it will be on full blast heat and then when I turn the key on it goes to where it was set when I got out which is always auto at 68*.

I bit the bullet and ordered new engine and trans mounts. Driver side broke a couple of months ago, thanks to Black Bear and my right foot.

Motor mount [Hummer H3 solid rubber] (2): 25847739
Trans mount [GMC Yukon Denali AWD] (1): 15840278

I'm going to take a crack at installing myself. Wish me luck.

Its not to bad of a job, I did mine in about 3 hours (I have long tube headers and a few beer breaks). Now Mitchell says, 7 hours ........so take that with a grain of salt and a shot of tequila

Good luck indeed. I replaced all three on my 4wd a couple weeks ago. I took my time and did a lot of cleaning as I went. I had an issue getting the passenger side motor mount in. I think it was due to me trying to replace LH & RH at the same time. Meaning I removed the motor mount to frame bolts on both sides, along with the trans mount bolts, then raised the engine. I ended up having to attach the LH side so the engine would rotate as I jacked it up. That gave enough room on the RH side.

Did you get the top of the intercooler block reinforced? If not you should get that brick reinforced to stop it from blowing out. They add a big chunk of aluminum to the top to stop if from bulging.

Not too bad. I’d imagine having 4wd would make a significant difference as well.

Sooo, has anyone barked the tires after a gear shift on an AWD? @Doubeleive , you drive pretty spirited with your Denali?

Reason I ask, I was driving home from picking up some dinner last night in the right lane and some douchebag behind me in the left lane passes me, cuts to the right into my lane in front of me, then slows way down to make a turn into a parking lot. Mind you, there was no-one behind me besides him for quite a ways, so he could've pulled into the right hand lane behind me instead of doing that....lol.

Well, it kinda pissed me off and I kinda floored it when passing him. The trans down shifted, I took off, and when it up shifted I swear all 4 tires barked.

Come to think of it, I may have it on my dashcam still. I'll have to check that out.

ya I have once under similar circumstances except I pulled out in front of someone and had to really scoot, seemed like all 4 chirped, I usually get a front wheel chirp on one onramp that I take because it has a lifted spot and when you hit it fast the front wheels lift a little so I get a good front wheel chirp out of it.

yes it came from a gm parts supplier in chandler AZ, it does feel softer than what my seat does now, but really hard to say until I get the seat out and take the old cover off
Is it as soft as a big girl's ass? Because that's pretty soft--depending on the girl and ass. Just trying to get a comparison--that's all.

View attachment 264061 received my new drivers seat cushion and cover, weird they must have made a design change because it does not have the 8 holes in the center, it has a vent hole up near the rear of the calf.

Would be awesome if you take some pictures during the swap.

I think my driver side seat is pretty good, but i sat in the passenger side one day with the wife driving....

it was amazing. :boobs:

Now i'm thinking i need some new foam on the driver side... :D
