there is a local shop here called "express transmission" there not a performance shop per say but they are the best in town, he does custom stuff on request, they have been real good with warranty and customer service at least in my experience. I have seen some performance cars in there on the racks and he said he built one for a G8 a couple weeks back said that one was $6k ouch....What shop are you taking your tranny to?
if you are using the oem remote and have the hvac set to auto it will come on, if you turn off the hvac before you shut it off the night before it should not come back on until you turn it on as far as I know, I have a aftermarket alarm system with remote start so it bypasses oem and my heat/ac will be wherever I set it last or off if turned it off.Anyone know how to turn off and keep off the AC when starting the truck with the remote? ya I have considered just buying one that way but after labor and everything probably be the same price, I have dealt with this guy a few times before after some bad experiences with another shop that has gone out of business, which is no surpriseWhen i had my C5 i couldn't find any transmission shops that i was comfortable with. Ended up getting one shipped from performabuild
@iamdub or @swathdiver might knowThanks, I'm a member there already.
I'll poke around in the C5 and C6 section.
On another note,
Looking at camshafts at TSP, they reference square port heads and cathedral port heads.
any idea what type of heads my 5.3 LMG would have?
gotta love that disclaimer lol: Racing Use Only, Not Legal for Road UseSo far my plan is,
If i Wimp out: 2009 Chevrolet Tahoe 28-12560967 GM 1999-06 LM7 5.3 Stock Camshaft (texas-speed.com)
If i'm feeling a little frosty: 25-TSPLL212218 TSP Stage 2 Low Lift Cathedral Camshaft (texas-speed.com)
Feeling a wee bit more frosty: 25-TSP212218R6 TSP Stage 2 High Lift 5.3 Truck Camshaft (texas-speed.com)

next time that happens see if the temp is then set for 74 on both sides, if it is then you are loosing a connection somewhere, just like when you disconnect the battery the hvac reset's to 74 and auto. Not sure if this is the case. It was 22* this morning when I left for work and I used the remote start before I left. When I got in and turned key it was on auto and the snowflake was on. The windshield was a bit frosty so I turned the snowflake off and hit the defrost button and turned the fan up, thus taking it out of auto mode. That's the way it was shut off after getting to work. When leaving work it was in the upper 30's and I remote started it and when I got in and turned the key the controls were back to auto with the snowflake on. DOH!
Nope, never have the temp set that high, only like 71 or 72.next time that happens see if the temp is then set for 74 on both sides, if it is then you are loosing a connection somewhere, just like when you disconnect the battery the hvac reset's to 74 and auto.
maybe it's 72 it's one or the other 72/74, but it shouldn't be going back to auto regardless unless you press the button that would be infuriating for me especially in California where you basically have to have it set to 60 for the entire summer.Nope, never have the temp set that high, only like 71 or 72.
