Katzkin, love those guys. We have a friend who liked her buddy’s QX80 but knew better than paying out the nose for one just to get the grey leather seats she wanted vs. purchasing the sister ship Nissan Armada.

She went to the Nissan dealer, found her Armada and made the deal contingent on them pulling the cloth interior and installing a Katzkin grey leather interior. 7 days after purchase the dealer had it swapped from black cloth to grey Katzkin leather. The cool factor was Katzkin had little tags like Levi’s puts on their jeans that said Katzkin.

@Bill Barnes
Can you post some pics of the paint job, curious to see the red metallic fade.

That's not the right link at all.

I guess it sold because it is no longer listed.

I clicked the link that was in your posting and it took me there. Maybe the seller substituted another vehicle into the same ad?

That must have been what happened as the first time I clicked on the link, it showed the vehicle he was talking about and then the second time I went to click on it, it showed a Nissan.

I guess the seller could have done that. I know I posted the right link because when I do post any link I go back in and open to verify that the link is what it is supposed to be.

If I remember right it was a low mileage 2006 RWD Tahoe that had special Katzkin custom leather interior and was in great shape. I think it was for $8250.

Ok being as how we are showing our rust here’s a few of my Silverado’s rocker panels. Teaching myself how to weld. The welder isn’t much a 120 Hobart welder. Has enough juice to weld new panels on.

For a very long time I doubted which seats I should choose leather or fabric. Leather seats in general tend to look a lot more luxurious than fabric seats, and they usually do in most cases. But the upsides of fabric seats are that they are more affordable. When you look at cars with cloth seats, they are likely to be cheaper than a car with leather seats. But fabric seats are easier to care for. I bought myself fabric covers by looking at the review https://leather-toolkits.com/blog/leather-vs-cloth-seats/ which helped me make the right choice.
