Found a 2004 Yukon Denali with 50k on the clock. About 2 hrs from me. Really thinking ******* this. Damnit. The 6.0 would be a nice change from the 5.3 but comparing hp numbers the 12 burb and 04 Denali are about same in that department. Comes with lifetime Powertrain warranty also.
Am I dumb for thinking of going backward?

I’m at 145k on the burb. Dash cracked is only thing wrong.

burb should wash that Yukon out money wise.

so money ain’t the issue. I know the 07-14 are about the most comfortable vehicles there are.

but 6.0 for future mods or better towing. Dunno.

someone slap me or kick me in the backside.

GM has a lot of new goodies coming out. 3L turbo diesels in 1500 trucks presently and the same motor will go in the Yukon class vehicles in 12-18 Mo’s.

100% electric Hummer w/ 4 wheel steering, as well as a low speed crab feature is only a few months alway. The Full Size SUV is about to be reinvented. Depreciation is going to hit 15+ Tahoe, Burb, Yukon, Esky fast and hard.

We sold our loaded 06 Denali just before the 08 housing crisis that made big SUV prices bottom out. It was just dumb luck we got $32k for it on trade.

Lifetime power train warr and a chance to avoid some depreciation sounds nice. You’d save on insurance be poised to jump on a Diesel 25mpg Yukon or electric hummer and all the tax incentives, especially if you have/ want solar ... or do nothing and see how things unfold.

Post the link, let's look at it. It's not like someone else on the forum is going to jump on the deal.

I honestly think that a 5.3 with a 6speed will out run and out tow and 6.0 with a 4 speed. Not to mention the 6l80 will take plenty of abuse from a modded 5.3 or 6.2 where a stock 6.0 will blow a 4l60 if you like to party.

Yeah, kinda this. Don't underestimate the value of those two extra gears. Having owned both, 6L>4L, which translates to GMT900>GMT800.
