Yes, that part can be replaced. It's obviously a separate part that is screwed into the pan since it's steel and the pan is aluminum. I've always known them as an "oil filter adapter" since it's what is used when you're adapting a filter to a filter boss, such as on an aftermarket remote filter kit, etc.

...After a little digging, it looks like it is part number 12552357 and the proper name for it is "fitting" or "connector". Do your research to confirm as there are different threads sizes between the years.

Thank you for quick reply and pointing in right direction. Looks like that part number isn't for the 6.2L engine and I can't find anything on RockAuto, GM Parts Direct or Amazon for my year/engine under oil filter fitting, adapter or connector. However, since I know what to call the part I'll ask local dealership tomorrow if they can get it or know the p/n. I'll report back once I get answer.

Dammit! I was reading in the GMT800 thread right before replying to you so I had that generation on my mind. Yeah, the previous generation has an SAE thread for the oil filter and the GMT900 is metric. Lemme see if I can find your correct part number...

I run their 30-4900 dual wideband failsafe gauge. It’s configurable for several different functions and you can hook up a relay to kill the engine or limit throttle if a preset condition like an extremely lean situation happens, so you don’t blow up your engine. I just use if to read AFR and boost, never wired in the failsafe option. I like it.

Yeah this one is their failsafe line as well. With the amount of ethanol I shove down this thing though I don't think I'll ever see any type of catastrophic conditions. And if I do, just means it's time for a Dart block sooner haha.

Drove this pos to Hershey Park. Seems like it's shifting weird so I might have it looked at next week. My guess is it's always when I'm slowing down like near a light, then accelerate again and it catches the gear at a time when it's high rpm? That make sense?

Not gonna lie, I'm not sure. I can check when I get home, I'm currently violating social distance rules in an amusement park.

It seems like it catches it when it's close to shifting or downshifting and then I accelerate and it almost skips or has a slip when trying to get to the next gear.

Would it possibly be the differential? Would you feel the differential if something was off?
