what year is your vehicle? oe fans will fit and someone on here sells the part to make it work like a factory option you just have have the pcm/ecm flashed to add the option depending on the year I guess.

I just installed the GT series fans on my Yuuk. I found teh fans at the pull a part and got the wiring kit from PCMofNC. https://www.pcmofnc.com/product/1999-2002-full-size-truck-dual-fan-conversion-kit-3/
The wiring kit is top notch stuff. So far, very happy with the results. So much quieter. There are times I can tell it's peppier too, like when i'd normally expect the fan to sound like a 737, it's now whisper quiet and frees up some ponies.

$220 for the harness though... ouch.

There's a member here, @ScottyBoy , who gets them sometimes and sells them here. He does a great job of separating them from the other oem harnesses, cleaning them up and even labeling them for you. Hopefully he'll get more soon and post them up again.

I would not go with anything other than an OEM harness. All the aftermarket ones have a history of melting during real hot weather. I bought one from LS1fans.com and it completely melted the harness and relays on a 100* day 150 miles from home. Luckily I had AAA Plus. I bought an OEM harness from @ScottyBoy and no problems since. You do have to wire it into the ECM harness but it’s not hard, and then have the pin turned on in the ECM by a tuner like Blackbear or someone local.

There is no part number for the harness that I know of, you need one from a wrecking yard or one that someone has removed from a wrecked vehicle. There’s a couple write ups in the tech section you should read. I did some work for you and linked them here.

Also you didn’t mention the year of your truck. There’s slight differences between the 00-02 and 03-06 so read up on that.

Thanks a lot for the links. I had read through one of them pretty thoroughly, but completely missed the other one (install into an 01), super informative. My Yukon is an 01, So its very helpful, idk how I missed it before.
Good point on using stock harness, just have to make sure not to get one from a flood vehicle.

There’s a whole other debate on the best fan, blade count, amp draw yada yada yada. I bought a Flex-a-Lite but don’t remember the model.

Sure, why not? All the harnesses @ScottyBoy sells are used. I've been a member since 2012, and I've never read 1 negative comment about his work or harnesses that he sells. Matter of fact--I bought one from him myself. It's not installed yet--working on that later

Ohhh. My bad. I still stand by what I said tho. I know pick n pulls sells those fans pretty cheap. Didn't someone say the nnbs fans work on our nbs? Could've sworn I read that here.

Yes, indeed the 05-06 e-fans should bolt right in, provided that you have the wider style radiator.
