Still waiting on the PTC fittings from Grainger, they’re waiting for UPS to pick them up. A nice lady at Grainger talked to UPS for me this morning and they said they’re behind due to demand but they’re now scheduled for Thursday delivery. I picked up the hard line from them locally the other day but can’t bend it until I have those fittings. I did get an email from accesspeed on the Wilwoods with 4 tracking numbers and they’re scheduled for Thursday delivery too. All 200 lbs of them according to the shipping info.

At 200 added pounds to an already heavy vehicle, I would hope that they do their intended job! Maybe that why the $$ involved to purchase was the reason...

It’s not an added 200, you have to take into account the weight of the stock calipers, rotors and lines being removed which are pretty heavy when you add up all 4 corners. I’m guessing the Wilwoods add 50 lbs. but I will weigh the removed pieces this time. I didn’t do that when I did the Wilwoods on The Beast.

I’m in a holding pattern on the hard lines. I still have a slow leak, this is on the left front. When I had only 2 valves for the front (1 up, 1 down) which only controlled both bags I could never leave it aired up for more too long while parked or the whole front would be on the ground. I never leak tested it but it now looks like it was the fitting on that left bag because that’s what’s leaking now with new lines. I set up an account with Swagelok NW and requested a quote on all new fittings in both carbon steel and stainless steel. At first glance the SS would run me about $250 for the 11 fittings I need and the carbon is about 1/2 that. I doubt I need the SS because I don’t get any rust on anything on my vehicles here but I asked their opinion. Man I’ll tell you one thing though- their website is dangerous to me. They sell some nice ass stuff, I could replace every line on my trucks with their shit. I love the braided SS 3/8” lines with swagelok fittings on one end and hose ends on the other for my hard lines, problem is it would be probably $2-$3000 for them.

While waiting for a quote from Swagelok NW I took the part numbers to EBay and bought all of them I needed in stainless steel plus an extra for $1 more than their list price for carbon steel, $119.78 and they are all guaranteed delivery by next Monday. Those were some great deals. I guess I’ll do them in stainless after all.

I have a chance to buy a set of polished silver ceramic coated Kooks longtubes with catless Y pipe for $1050 shipped and I’m having a hard time saying no. These are normally $1800 plus shipping without the coating and I’d guess would be well over $2000 if I was to order them. They’re brand new. Help me decide fellas. I do have to take a look to see if I have room under my truck, I haven’t really checked to see what they did to make the exhaust work. I mean, they used a different oil pan because the stock one hung down too far so there’s that to consider. Damn that’s cheap though.

The Wilwoods showed up. A UPS rep stopped by first and said a box of Roundup had spilled all over the truck and asked if I wanted to send them back or accept them with a some of it on the boxes. Duh. Not scared of Roundup. Also got a bit closer on the bezel, I just have to finish wet sanding and then paint it. I’m going to a local place tomorrow to have new center rear brake hoses made. The OEM ones are rubber and when I’m fully aired up they’re tight so I’ll make them longer and in black braided SS.
