That’s pretty sweet. I was hoping to add heat to my NBS, but I don’t think it’s possible without looking like a hack job. I think the only good way is a OEM type wheel, and that’s not going to fit my ‘03.
well this is the nnbs section I thought you were asking about one for the nnbs, not sure on the availability for the nbs, ebay may be your best shot when I had my 00 I replaced mine with a brand new one off ebay it was only $50 but that was yearsssss ago. lol

Yeah, sorry for the confusion, I’m just looking at all options.

Wait....you live in Cali.
I know I never use the heated steering wheel but the wood trim on Denali was coming loose and I wanted a steering wheel that didn't have the wood trim so I bought that one, it's still in the box, I figure I will put it on someday when the wood trim one wears out.
I do use the heated seats a lot, leather is a good cold/hot conductor, cloth seats are best for California weather.

Installed new pads and rotors and rotated the wheels, 3yr warranty was about to run out on the rotors so I just swapped them out for brand new ones

I finally got around to installing some tow mirrors on the Escalade. I know they aren't everybody's cup of tea, but my stock ones were all beat up and the power fold didn't work anyway. Plus I missed being able to see behind me so much better. These have the puddle lights too which are nice. I'll probably have at least the caps painted black eventually. I also installed an N-Fab light bar with some black 7" LED lights. I used a wiring harness that has a remote that I was able to program to work with the Homelink buttons. I'll post up some more info on all that in my build thread.

How is the chrome portion on your old mirrors?

Also please post a link to the remote harness you used.

I think the chrome is in decent shape, it's just the surround that goes around the mirrors that's jacked up. And I had to cut the white harness off of both mirrors to make wiring the puddle lights easier. Here's the remote harness I used.

Changed the right hub bearing. Took a little longer than I wanted too. Weather got colder during the day. Started at 46 degrees. Dropped to 41. I should of taken a pic of it barely fitting in the garage. My new garage is smaller unfortunately. But it is insulated. My old one was not. Glad to have my Tahoe back though.

Decided to pull the black plastidip off my wheels yesterday. I’m not sure if it was due to the cold weather but it was starting to bubble and peel in places so I figured if I wanted to keep my rims black I’d have to start fresh with a completely new coat.

there’s still some black on the lug nut covers but I’ll probably pull that off in a few days when I have some more time

I kinda like the remaining black on the lug nut covers.

Well, finally got around to tearing the motor down. Let's just say things do not look good. Both valve covers are coated in milkshake (Coolant mixed in oil) and noted that the #2 Cylinder has coolant on top intake valve. Unsure at this point if it is just a blown head gasket or if I cracked a head/block somehow. Truck never overheated, just started to run rough and blow white smoke on the way home from work. Luckily only drove it about a 1/4 of a mile to get home and shut it down in my driveway, hasn't been fired up since.

The valley also had coolant pooled towards the rear of the block and on top of the passenger cylinder (pooled on top of the head bolts).

Now the frustration begins in looking for the cause and determining if I have to replace the whole damn engine at only 114K miles

You'll at least have to pop off the heads to diagnose. So, drain the coolant and zip out them bolts and stop keeping us in suspense! Hopefully the worst case is you'll have to replace the head(s), but maybe it's just a head gasket. If the problem is a cracked block, at least getting to the upper four bellhousing bolts would be easy with the heads off. *Fingers crossed

I'm hoping to have the heads of by next weekend. My new work schedule and having a side business is cutting into my free time :whymewhyme:

Got the drivers side rear door lock actuator replaced and worked on the drivers side rear side marker mini bulb socket. The socket has some corrosion and bulb intermittently works. I also tried some turtle wax cleaner detailer on the wheels to see if that will help them to clean better at the automatic car wash. It tends to leave the wheels dirty. Right at 220k miles and running good. Too cold outside to do anything else this weekend looking forward to warmer weather in a couple of months.
