Yaaaas. I had a 2 (or 2.5?) ton aluminum "racing" jack that I abused for almost a decade before the seals wore out. I now have a 3 ton low-profile steel floor jack:

...that I outfitted with their cross beam:

I also scored a new 3 ton low-profile/long reach floor jack:

It was a demo that spent it's life zip-tied to the display rack. I wasn't really in the market for another one, but it was in the clearance section for $75 cuz it was missing a handle. As I carried the heavy sum'***** to the checkout, a store employee told me I could have the handle from a jack a customer returned damaged. I got a new $180+ jack for ~$80. Either one of my 3-tons pick up the side of my neighbor's crewcab 2500 with no problem.
The 3 ton in the first pic is the one I have. Just went out in the garage and looked. Got it on sale at a really good price. Can't remember what it was but I do remember that I wouldn't have bought it if it weren't for the lower price.

And I like that cross beam...

FYI, in case you, or anyone else reading this, ventures to get that cross beam: They say it's incompatible with the 3 ton jack, but I bolted it on with no problem. I think it's because the beam is rated for 2 tons so it'd be overloaded if you were to try to lift 3 tons, as that jack is rated for. I like it for lifting the entire side of a vehicle at one point. I got that second jack because it was a deal and cuz there are plenty of times I need a jack without a beam. I don't wanna have to unscrew it to swap on the standard plate every time I just need a regular jack. I hesitated getting the beam for this reason. So, give it some thought.

Funny this came up now. I've been watching for a good time to pick up a 2.5T aluminum jack, and my plan was to head over to HF sometime this weekend to get it and a few more items. I don't need to be dragging a heavy steel one around the garage, so the aluminum ones look good for weight. I also will get a bit more lift than my old steel one, which will be nice for the higher-clearance truck frames.

Yes- aluminum FTW. The light weight is something I dearly miss about mine. My brother almost hurt his back trying to pick up my ALUMINUM jack because he was braced to hoist what he thought was an 80+lb steel one. Mid-lift, he had to stop himself from damned-near doing a backflip cuz he lifted it so quickly and easily and that's what almost hurt him.

I received email today with a 4-day only 15% off with all exclusions removed coupons, that CAN be used on jacks, tool cabinets and storage, etc. that are usually excluded from the usual 20% off coupon

I got the same email. I wanna outfit my mechanic cart with it's own complete set of ratchets, sockets, wrenches, etc. so I told Jenn just to get me a Hazard Fraught gift card for Christmas. Pretty sure I'll just go load up on all the Pittsburgh Pro stuff.
