I use to have these ones . But mine now are the same as @Fosscore except smokedThat’s weird-my Spyder tails which look almost the same except they’re smoked light up all the way down.
Edit: I see mine have a different led arrangement.

Understood. What about the resistors wired for leds? Do they need to come off? Or can they just stay on without issues? Will regular bulbs work correctly still, with that leg snipped?It’s just the one leg with the arrow pointing to it that gets clipped not the whole thing
Leg #7. Same as in the first picture as well. I suspect this leg provides the hyper-flash when resistance is lower than it’s supposed to be. So clipping it should only affect that function. (Guess..)Know which one?

No. You’ve eliminated the alert by using the resistor, and the led has basically no resistance so it doesn’t make a difference when it goes out.Wholeheartedly agree. Can't believe this isn't in the "database" already.
Here's my question: If you install resistors and an led bulb fails, does it hyperflash? I kinda like a function that alerts me to a problem.
It can be done, it's just expensive to get the circuitry to do that. My grandmother gave me her 89 Jaguar XJ6 back around 2004 after she stopped driving. Even though it was an 89 model, it was WAY ahead of it's time as far as the electronics in it. Each tail light and front turn signal had a "bulb module" (which was basically a damn $450 computer module). These bulb modules would trigger a warning message on the dash if a bulb was out. And it told you exactly which bulb!! For instance, it would say "Left stop light bulb failure" in the message screen on the dash. But it was also a PITA when I had a bulb module go bad. Kept giving false bulb failure warnings CONSTANTLY, and it was almost $500 for a new one. I found a used one online for under $200 which was still expensive as fawk in my opinion, lol .Nothing ever alerts us when our brake lights go out anyway, which are way more important than turn signals. BTW, why is that? They could design an alert if a TS bulb goes out but not brake lights or headlights or running lights?
