Gonna do it tomorrow, and some other odds and ends--my only day off. This job gives me no time for anything now.
I know the feeling. Between work and family I have to take advantage of free time to the fullest each moment I get. Looking forward to hearing if your next attempt actually fixes this issue.

Didn't do everything I wanted to do today. I did do the new belt, and I messed with the new idler pulley.20190817_095330.jpg20190817_103304.jpg I removed the original concave washer and used a smaller flat washer.20190817_103355.jpg 20190817_103333.jpg
I noticed the idler wasn't spinning with the old washer, thus the smaller, flat washer--spins now. I'm hoping that's the fix.
Spins good now. 20190817_103213.jpg

There was some sludge on the bottom of the catch can too.20190817_113022.jpg
I tried tightening up some of the tabs in the tps pigtail. Also put a nice gob of dialectic grease in there. 20190817_104934.jpg 20190817_104949.jpg
And finally--redipped the grill. Was looking pretty ragged.20190817_122711.jpg
Redid the amp wire--was having some issues with it--no pics tho.

I went to the new Tractor Supply. Saw these--20190817_130122.jpg 20190817_130533.jpg
Picked these up--20190817_130345.jpg20190817_171059.jpg 20190817_171106.jpg
I just needed the long snips, no idea what I could use that other tool for. I think it's some kind of fence snip deal. Anyone know what it is? Gonna try to wind my day down now, gotta wake up 4:30 am. Another long Sunday for me.

Hmmm, wonder why my catch can has the sludge on the bottom of it.View attachment 228916 I wonder what the bottom of my oil pan looks like.

It's just crud in your oil that settled out of suspension. The bottom of your oil pan will have a thicker layer.

Well, maybe not since your motor isn't original. I'm sure the pan would've been cleaned if they took it off.
