The plug fought me all the way reinstalling it... didn't have a new one.

old gunk in threads... was really wondering if I could get it to thread.

I suspect this is why my highway mpg is only 16.....old plugs not giving me power in V4 mode.

I am assuming you are doing this when the engine is cold.
I put a small amount of anti-seize on the plug before I install a plug. It provides a little lubrication going in and helps down the road when you need to remove it.

Earlier in this thread I asked what were the chances of having orignal plugs and wires. Well today I pulled # 1 plug drivers side. Wire came off easily. OK good.

Plug fought me all the way out.... not cross threaded just gunkky threads...View attachment 228372 View attachment 228373
OOOPS looks original to me..... 135 k miles

Interseting its the 41-110 EDIT IRIDIUM

ACDELCO has rebates on IRIDIUMS $3 ea.

What says the TY forum braintrust ?

Those are original, get some new ones with the same PN# and get OE wires, should be 748UU but double check on ACDelco's website:

Yep, and dielectric grease on the electrical contacts, both ends of the wires.

Gotta be careful with our aluminum heads, it’s way too easy to strip them out. Like others have said, use anti seize but why did you not have new plugs to install?

Yours are not anywhere near as bad as the 135k ones...
I might just change the wires then, when I had the engine put in they said it came with new plugs but didn't say anything about the wires so they might be the originals which would have 120k

Onstar transmits codes to somewhere and when they don't forget to email an update every month, It will tell me if codes were thrown, how much life left in the oil, tire pressure, etc.
nothing you all ready can see for free

pay wall ?
I;m sure GM collects the engine data and check engine codes

Maybe they send Check engine codes to your SUV so the dealers can make money

I was just checking the first plug only. Now that I know I will get the new plugs. Or just may out source it to a shop. I have changed plugs on an LS engine. Even on a G8 that #8 plug is a doozie.

i'll be doing a 100,000 miles service soon in 9,500 miles, brake fluid exchange at 100k

(110k for fluid items since that will 30k for those except the brake fluid )

what i really want to do is the hybrid service right away but i'm not sure what what they do for $177 do they just scan it with the tech2 or actually will be cleaning it

or just a dealer scam to get 177$ out of me

I did a lot this week... Started by taking out my BellTech drop struts up front and put in some double adjustable QA1 coil overs and also removed my rear BellTech springs and put in Tony's 5-6" spring with a spacer. I put in helper bags and did the free travel mod while I was back there. Also put double adjustable QA1 shocks in the rear. The truck rides 1000X better now than it did before.

Last week I also redid my air intake and used 5" tube for the entire thing. Added a honeycomb before the MAF sensor as well...

Another intake shot...

If that wasn't enough, I also installed a Mishimoto Radiator (for those wondering it performs way better than the stock one). I got some great pricing by calling direct. I also installed 7 & 9 blade fans from a 2500HD truck.

In addition to all that, I upgraded to a Granatelli 103mm Throttle Body... Too many issues with my Nick Willams and the throttle blade snapping shut from the blower

The list goes on... I also upgraded my fuel system to -8AN line and added a second Walbro 450 pump in tank that is on a 7PSI Hobbs switch so I can start to run E85. Also added a chiller for the blower. It was a pain in the ass to plumb everything, it's literally 50LBS of crap in a 5LB bucket.

Used a 60 plate chiller unit, the ones on the outside are what I used, Killer Chiller unit in the middle...

And finally, I painted my tow hooks red

Are you happy with your QA1 stuff? I was looking into them when I had my S10. Heard very mixed opinions on their dampers.
