Huh? What did you say? Can't hear a thing with that Rustmaster! LOL

Nope, GMT800s do not use CAN bus. You can remove it or set to pass-thru on main menu.

which reminds me, on my 2012 I had cleared any saved codes on my bcm so when I scan it there cleared and gone, yet when I took it to the dealer last time and they scanned it all the previous codes I had cleared out came up on there printout. I thought that was kind of weird.

Yeah, never heard of that. Wonder if they still reside in the truck somewhere or were transmitted to GM?

So I wonder why it can't communicate when trying to get data from "Body" modules like DIC, Dash, HVAC

I've tried it both with engine off and running. It will flash the data screen real quick then say no communication, check OBD plug and ignition on/off

I've experienced this with our 2004 Pontiac Montana, never did figure it out. Weird.

Damn, I was hoping to try to reset the HVAC actuators. The mode dial will click constantly when turned all the way to the left (counter clockwise) to the panel vent setting. If you turn it clockwise one click it stops. No big deal, it's just annoying though.

OH. You guys are just running without bump stops at all? Damn.
Did you actually read the post? Bump stops are added back in, in a different location. BTW just do a google search, the info is there too.
Edit: I didn’t read the post lol. Didn’t realize @iamdub didn’t install the pancake bump stops which is part of the free travel mod. DJM suspension has a good how-to. https://djmsuspension.com/free-travel-2/

You’re probably in the wrong model or menu. Also keep in mind the NBS can’t access everything the NNBS do. But most of the time you get that message, you've either selected the wrong vehicle or that module isn’t in your vehicle, like trying to access the abs module on a non abs vehicle.

I don't know either I just went and double checked there are no stored codes in the bcm or ecu, but when I do a full system scan the ones I know are there from my own doing show up, but there scan showed old ones I know were cleared and do not show up presently, maybe i'm not looking in the right place, maybe it has a saved place somewhere

I'm using K on that one, which is the 5th digit. I also tried E which is the 4th, but that only showed the supplimental airbag restraint (or something like that) available. I've actually tried all production codes available on the screen.

are you using ld trk, mpv, incomplete? mine came up under both c & k after choosing either code it gives me a choice of auto dual zone or manual dual zone, then you proceed to body after that then select hvac

Yeah, it's the mode door actuator though which is in the dash behind the radio and hvac controls. I don't plan on digging into it to get to it and was hoping just an actuator relearn would take care of it.

It doesn't have Auto hvac controls or a fancy stereo, but does have like 6 speakers and the sub

I don't believe I'll ever be in a situation where the suspension is compressed enough for the axle to contact the frame. The suspension won't be articulated on a trail nor do I do any heavy hauling. I won't be hucking my Tahoe off any ramps, dunes or whoops, either. Once it's lowered, I'll reassess the axle-to-frame clearance and will likely install thin poly bump stops just so there's no chance of metal-on-metal contact. Also, I have load bags that will be in the coils when it's lowered, so it'll never sag if loaded in the cargo hold or on the hitch.

if you cant figure it out try the next year up 2002 should be essentially the same for 00-02, these things for the most part use the same system with slight variances
you could even try 03 and just choose manual hvac
be sure you are choosing the correct radio if it ask's also

Dashskin is on and curing. Some observations- fits well except along the windshield. It has a lip that does not well at the front. If i had the right tools I would have trimmed it off. The driver side by the defroster vent, had to tape it down. Going to let it cure overnite. Put a moving blanket and weights, brick water bottles, etc.
