Which petrol pump can you recommend to me that doesn't break after a year? Tahoe 07 LTZ

Hello my friends here in the forum.

I need your advice! As it says in the heading, I am looking for a high quality gasoline pump that will not break after a year.

I bought a petrol pump last year in January 2019 because my old one had a defect.
I had bought this E3581M. This pump should be a junk and makes more problem as she works.
But now the gas pressure switch was already defective and it will probably no longer bring the pressure, because I have the two errors P0171 and P0174.

I have already installed new oxygen sensors in the up stream because one was defective and constantly showed me errors.
Which pump really gives me pressure and power and lasts longer than 1 year. If you buy cheap you buy twice. So this time i want to make the right deal.

ACDelco or Delphi. Airtex (the one you have) are 50/50 at best, and the chances that the fuel level gauge reads accurately enough is another 50/50 crapshoot.

I assume you have a VIN 0, which is FlexFuel. If so, RockAuto's site shows ACDelco #MU1711 or Delphi #FG1054 to be your two options.

@iamdub Thank you so much! I will search on Rock auto with your numbers. I don't want to make a fail order twice. I sometimes think it is better to invest more money in a product, as buying twice like me now. Thank you so much

@iamdub in Case of your VIN "0" I don't have a flex Fuel LTZ. I have a regular gas Tahoe. Should I order also the flex fuel pump?

Position 8 in my Vin is "J"

Interesting. I thought for sure with it being an LTZ it would be FlexFuel. In that case, RockAuto's site shows three options:

Bosch: #67442

ACDelco: #MU1639

Delphi: #FG0808

The most common reason for fuel pump failure are plugged or partially plugged fuel filters. The fuel pump doesn't necessarily fail immediately when the filter is clogged/partially clogged, but can happen months after replacing the fuel filter. When I say partially plugged even a modicum of resistance when you blow through the filter is partially plugged. Now I know there were some years that GM didn't even install fuel filters--for whatever reason. But if you do have a fuel filter, ignore the recommended service interval and change the filter twice as often--at least.

AC Delco or Delphi is my recommendation.

Lots and lots of LTZs were made with the LY5 until it was dropped for the 2010 model year.

Never would've guessed. I just assumed that the top-line model got all the bells and whistles (generally- I know the entertainment, seating arrangement sunroof, etc. were options). I'm glad mine is a FF cuz I might be taking advantage of it when I get it tuned.

I agree on models with an inline filter that hasn't been maintained. But there's no filter on these. Just the screen (AKA "sock") on the pickup in the tank.

Me too. I never would've run E85 until that hurricane came, glad I did. I guess they produced them without for folks like me at the time! LOL If they said it came with bigger injectors and fuel pump they probably would've sold me!

Prices are $1.65 for it hear now, cheapest I've ever seen.

I tested my pump today and was able to read a pressure of 50 PSI in idle. Is this ok or to less? It cannot be that the pump would be the reason that I have errors P0171 and P0174. I also tried classic with brake cleaner to look for a wrong air. But everything seems to be fine here, too.
I had changed the oxygen sensors Bank 1 Sensor 1 and Bank 2 Senosr 1.
Today I was able to read out errors P0054 and P0060. Maybe I accidentally changed the wrong one. I will order 2 more to have them new. Because I had probably bought a lot of crap again on Ebay last year. The main thing is cheap. Think you don't get good quality oxygen sensors for $ 44 all four :)
Well if you buy cheap you buy twice.
Or maybe you have another tip what all the mistakes can be.

I highly doubt that a bad fuel pump would throw those codes..
You prob have a vacuum leak somewhere.. Think old school...
Unmetered air leak after the MAF..
