I have seen a few different methods for peeling and bad finish of clear. considering a few options.
- plasti dip black and use a glossifier. i have 20" rims.
- Last year i tried the torch method i had read about, but didnt seem to do much.
- Using an abrasive to cut down to bare material, then polishing back up

I will try and grab a picture of the wheel later today. But looking for input from people who have done their own diy rim restoration.

I've seen where on the 15" alloy wheels from the 90s where they take chemical stripper and remove the clear coat that way. Then buff to mirror finish. Could also strip them and Eastwood sells a rattle can wheel clear coat. If you got the big bucks, send them to a powder coat shop.
