What lower control arm is this? It has a stamp on it that says SMV. I can't find any information on it. The upper control arm has no numbers or stamps. Are they original GM parts??
Also, do I need to replace ball joints if there is no play in the wheel, but there are cracks in the rubber boots? and can these ball joints be changed out or are they one with the arm?
:):)

Care to share the exact year, make and model, or is it a well kept secret? Aftermarket for sure though.

Camber/Caster adjusters for front end alignment. Looks like the plastic stock locks are missing. Looks like this has been apart before IMO.
I wouldn't be surprised...just learning to do things myself as I go
