hmm, how about a worn out leaf spring if not a broken shock? do the bounce test on each corner and see what happens. should take five minutes so it should not work you too hard. don't want you to overstress yourself.

The oil pump in my Yukon died on my way to work this morning 211k miles was all the life it had. The distributor had been loose and messing with the timing, but I thought I had that issue fixed until it started running like crap on my way to work this morning. Then my check gauges light came on and there was no oil pressure. "Oh ######!" And I pull over to take a look, oil level is fine and no signs of a seal failure, grab the dizzy and it rotates freely... crap. I had no choice (I was only a mile from work) but to drive it very gingerly to work, keeping the revs low. Hopefully the Mobil1 did its job and kept my engine safe. Wasn't clattering or anything when I parked it. Now I get to fix it...yay.

did it shear off the oil pump drive off the bottom of dizzy? how come you have so much of a problem with the dizzy lately?

It was simple, the clamp holding the dizzy worked loose and let the shaft ride up the cam until it disconnected from the oil pump and threw the timing way off.

so everything is is back to normal then with no damage or need to replace parts? was an underwear change involved?

Everything is peachy now. I was pretty nervous about driving it for any amount of time without oil pressure getting oil to the top end, but within seconds of firing it up after my repairs, the lifters all went quiet and it ran silky smooth again. I did make double and triple sure that the clamp was very tight and properly positioned, and I'll have a shop hook up a computer to it to adjust it to with +/- 2° like it's supposed to be.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get started on my how. Just gotta send alt to get upgraded and buy a ir gun to set e fan temps

if you want use the gauge in the dash and use the middle 210° mark as your on trigger and maybe 3 notches to the left for turn off. it is a very good starting point. you can fine tune it later but it makes for a tightly controlled range of less then 20° temp swing.

dammit! had to replace the fuel relay again this year because of overheating. gonna have to replace some terminals in the power block and inspect the new connector type that came with the pump that goodyear install in 2012. can't trust anybody!!!!!!!!!!!!

Replaced my front and rear door speakers with Kicker 40CS674 and 40CS654 to finally match my rear roof 4x9 kickers and my kicker 12in sub. Overall sound quality is 10 times better than the OE speakers.

finished installing the kodiak handles, put the last screws that i couldn't reach in the mudflaps (had to take the rear wheels off) and wired up the 4HI mod with my HIDs *LOOKS GREAT!
