Now that my rear springs are starting to settle in, I am definitely have something bottoming out in the l/r. I'm guessing the sway bar or a shock. Hopefully not the panhard bar.

Only happens on this 1 right hand turn I make that has a man hole you got to drive over.

it is amazing how ls main and rod bearings are almost always mint, cam bearings, complete junk.

And the cam bearings get the oil first and are what primarily dictate the oil pressure. With the way the four corner cylinders have a few thousandths difference in PTV clearance, I think it's a geometry thing.

I tell you, years ago I found a picture of some cam bearings from a zero mile crate motor, guy was swapping in a cam before putting it on the hot rod and the bearings had copper showing.

the drag race guys that play with junk yard builds just look the other way haha. if you don't see it, you don't know it's bad and it only has to run for a 1/4 mile haha.

Yup! People that do cam swaps and post pics of copper showing on the lower half of the forward cam bearings and being scared... I'm like "Send it. That Babbitt wore off when they drove that vehicle off the assembly line".

Top of panhard bar mount on the axle hitting the cross member above it?

Now that the daylight is flooding in through the basement windows, I can see multiple thin & bare spots I missed last night. Even thought their website says it only needs one coat, I'm going to go over it again, and fix the rookie mistakes. I was hoping I could do the blue coat today, but that'll probably have to wait.

Looking at upper gasket sets now. I don't need the valve stem seals, but that kit has pretty much everything else. Summit and Skogins-Dickey have the same set for ~$280:

Summit: https://www.summitracing.com/parts/mah-hs54660a/make/gmc/model/sierra-2500-hd/year/2008

S-D: https://sdparts.com/i-21064931-vict...ml#!model=SIERRA 2500 HD||make=GMC||year=2008

Also, I'll be needed the steam crossover pipes. My engine came with the rear ports blocked off, but the front stuff basically crumbled apart, so..

Would something, like this gem from scAmazon, be sufficient for having zero moving parts?: https://www.amazon.com/MSCRP-Coolan...93-8eb6-b78444137fb3&pd_rd_i=B0CJ94XNF1&psc=1

It's funny seeing Scoggin Dickey in posts on the web. I remember hanging out in the parts department there when I lived in Lubbock. Bought my copy of the old Chevy Power book there too.

i've used the dorman kit before works fine
Where does it connect to? The short outlet pipe was broken off my crossover when I got the engine. He said they literally ripped it out of the Sierra 2500 with a forklift and sawzalls. (which you could see from the cuts on the engine mounts.)

"Zero moving parts"? Kinda, but really not. That kit has 13 joints and fittings which are all potential leak points. The factory setup has none. +1 for @Geotrash's recommendation:

A 4-corner steam pipe kit is overkill on these rigs, especially with the rears blocked off already. This will do ya: https://a.co/d/eItL1IS

NM, that was a dumb question. I have a working model, all hooked up, parked out in my driveway.

the rear is just capped off on each side the front has the crossover pipe that goes under the throttle body and on the left side there is a inlet for the small hose to the radiator
the 6.0 may be slightly different as far the inlet on the gmt800's it comes in from the left side with a longer pipe on my 6.2 it's a short pipe
