Actually paid someone else to do an oil change on the 2012 because we're taking a camping trip starting this weekend and will be driving 1000 miles or so. It's a local quick lube that has competent techs who do good work. $95 out the door for 5w-40 Euro spec oil (engine mods).
That’s feeling is like someone else opening the door for you ole lady.

could be wiring if it's more than one but hopefully not.

Yeah, I watched this southmain auto vid where he was trying to figure out a coolant temp sensor issue, and it started making me wonder how accurate the aftermarket one I have is.

I had to replace the sensor and the connector due to physical damage. :ehcapt:

And the other day I tinted my front windows with some 3m Ceramic IR 35%
It should be the legal limit in my state.

This is the side I did pretty good with.
The other side I believe there was a little too much preshrinking done before install.
then I kept getting creases, so I junked the piece.

Then I started over but the piece slipped when doing the trim so it ended up a little short. :(
Not enough left to start over again, so I just made a trim piece and installed it.

You can hardly tell from the outside, but it's there.
I need one of those boards they use to measure and cut cloth. :banghead:

Good enough for now.

That tint is supposed to block a ton of heat, so it should be interesting how it acts during the next summer.

new passenger side cat (old one broke apart inside), code still away for the drivers side since new 02 sensors on Monday. I think if it was going to throw the code again it would have by now. Just kind of a cowinkydink that the passenger side decided to crumble......

A big day for my 07.

Was in the shop for new transmission lines, aircon compressor, rear trailing arms, new exhaust bolts and a few other things.

Last but not least, a set of 22" RST wheels, which I think look awesome. :)View attachment 414427View attachment 414428
Agree - nice wheels. Before I read all of the post, I thought: "Those are great wheels." 22s are a bit large for my offroad-preferred look, but they fit your truck perfectly.

Installed the crux bluetooth kit to factory radio. Plugged right into the xm module behind the glovebox. Sounds great with the bose!
I looked at this, but I don't have XM. Have you run across alternatives for non-XM-equipped trucks?

I refreshed my entire front/rear Z55 suspension excluding the compressor in the last couple years. It finally took its final dump on me. Replaced the Compressor on my 2011 Denali. Went with a Dorman replacement, straight forward install excluding replacing the electrical connector due to an overzealous clip breaking during removal :(.

Received the front coilovers back from Accutune and installed. Tuner and I are happy with the installed shock and spring length now with the 600lb springs.

Installed the rear Dobinson springs (C09-037) and Fox DSC rear shocks with the help of my new 10 ton Sunex jack stands. Suspension feels dialed, I am very happy.

I am dealing with some electrical gremlins and created a separate post asking for tips or advice, didn't want to bombard y'all with my book report here haha. I linked it below, I appreciate any advice.

Did nothing to the Denali this weekend. Instead, I took the wife car shopping. She bought a new 2023 Lincoln Nautilus. Only has 7 miles on the OD. Hopefully with it being white not red, it won’t attack any deer. *(see even the website knew what I really meant and autocorrected the word attract to attack).

I finished up another Big 3/4. I’m wondering if it’s time to do another thread on this so we can do a sticky. Then I can list what’s needed for the 6.2l with the battery mounted fuse vs. the firewall mount. That way folks know the p/n for the alternator (if they upgrade or replace with new), what gauge and lengths they need, which ends (straight, 90°, 45°) to buy so they can solder and crimp them, the tools necessary for the project and what goes where.

Or we can continuing to repeat ourselves in new threads. Although it’s probably easier to just reference them to a sticky and they can have at ‘er.

I know there are one or two out there already, but I think they may have other stuff in their thread build, as opposed to just a Big 3/Big 4 upgrade. Thoughts?

Please document this and sticky it. I've been planning on this upgrade, but there are too many conflicting versions out there, so I keep putting it off.

whatcha think about those fox shocks over the stock?

I have been thinking about a set for the Jeep (when I eventually lift it), I didn't know they were an option for the tahoe!
