I would take a can of fluid film and stick the spray tube into one of the holes and move it around and try to coat some of the inside of the door to help keep it from rusting.

Ha! I had to do this last year.. re-wired both deer with LEDscleaner than my workbench.
I see Christmas lights!
wife has been nagging me to get the lights up before we get surprised with a snow storm.
also she wants me to rewire the cute little lawn deer set we have so i can put them out this year.

Yeah, there’s a small drain in the extreme lower corners of the doors but they are totally inadequate. A couple of mine are plugged up with paint or body sealer and the rest will stop up with just a little dirt. I keep a zip tie handy for poking into the drains to clear them. One of these days I’ll get out the drill and fix it to my satisfaction.

I've had this issue for 2+ years...(funny the things you put off when you don't often have to deal with rain)
Bought an endoscope over a year ago to try and figure out exactly where it's coming in from, have used it for many other things but not the original purpose I bought it for.
And now I need to swap my high beam and low beam because my low beam decided to quit working this morning on my way to work.
GM engineers did not design bulb replacement in a friendly fashion.

One of my headlights burned out so I put in a pair of Silverstar Ultras. It was not enjoyable driving at night with the old bulbs so I'm happy that low beam output seems to be substantially improved. Around town at least. The real test will be when I get up to some dark, higher speed mt roads. They're only rated for 200hrs so I'm not expecting these to last much more than a year or 2. I was tempted to get a plug and play LED kit but was skeptical they wouldn't blind oncoming traffic.
I've also had a number of small drips accumulating on my driveway for the past few months that I've been ignoring. It's turned into something I wouldn't quite call a puddle, but it now needs to be addressed a bit more urgently. The mystery fluid is coolant - hopefully just from a hose and not a leaking radiator.

I use the original Philips bulbs, they last for years and are plenty bright even for my old eyes. Of course, my kids make fun of me and they are running LED everything.
Some LED company just sent my daughter bulbs made for her stock lenses for the high beams to try out and review. I'll repost after she writes it up for anyone interested.

I am tossing the LED idea around right now. Would like more light for country roads and don’t want to go back to the silver stars or any other high output, short life bulbs. I have stock low beams in now and they are ok. I have $370.00 worth of LED kits in my amazon cart I type. Just not sure it’s worth it.
Yeah I'd love to hear a review. There's a headlight thread in the exterior section but most of the posts are pretty old and there's not much on LEDs.

Would've been ~$160 for a low beam kit that allegedly outputs 9k lumens. However I had bought the Silverstars the day before and didn't really want to drive with 1 headlight longer than necessary.
If you buy from Amazon just make sure the listing says "Free returns" - in that case it's basically risk free. If not you'll have to jump through some hoops to get any money back (e.g. chat with a customer support person) - I learned that lesson buying a dust mask recently.

I've been running some supernova V.4 LEDs for about 50,000 miles, and they've been amazing... I did have to cut into some of the chassis just to make the heat sink fan actually clear. One of them seems to have finally died. It only glows a tiny bit now, doesn't fully light up anymore. I definitely re-aimed the headlights a number of.m times to make sure I wasn't blinding oncoming traffic, the only time I ever had anybody flash their high beams back at me was when I was towing in the back end was squatted quite a bit more than normal.
I also threw some vinyl on the headlights to try and create a clean cut off line sort of like a projector would that wouldn't blind anyone. It looks sort of Goofy on the headlights, but it works pretty darn good.
I'm going to be looking at headlight revolutions website again to see if there's a newer better version or if I should finally just upgrade the headlight housings all together and finally get some real projectors that aren't ugly.
Also, that's sort of like what my radiator did before it eventually exploded the end tank and nearly stranded me... Glad I already had the Cold Case radiator sitting at home waiting to be put in.
transmission shop said there was a "few water drops" inside the solenoid harness, whatever that means, but they put some dielectric grease in it and sent her home. seems to be shifting fine again.
I'm still old school HID
maybe after it dries up, nothing rust's around here unless it has been in the water a good while

Looking at getting some alpharex headlights...I like projectors, but hate all of the stupid accent lightings and extra LED junk they feel they have to put on everything aftermarket.
I think I can tolerate these, only downside is in order to fit the projectors, they had to push the lens out farther so that might look a little goofy, but we shall see. I figure I'll get some morimoto 2 stroke 3.0's for the high and low beam and have all of the lighting.
I've been real happy with the supernova V4... Other than having to cut out part of the core support structure to fit the big fan heat sink.
Adding the weird looking vinyl strip makes a real nice cut off line on the reflector style housings.
I think it's finally time for an upgrade though since I had one of those bowls burned out and you can only buy them in a pair.

I was looking at those alpha Rex ones too but was unsure of longevity for the price of them. So I used LED on all 6 lights from the same company. Still running strong and plenty bright. Think I spent 100 for lows highs and fogs

The alpha rexs have some pretty crappy hotspots and the beam pattern is meh at best.

Yeah, i need to get this done sooner than later.
Hard part is it looks like i need to find an existing set that will work, and then wire and trim them up so they work with the deer and don't look like ass.
I have a net light set that looks like it might be a good donor, just looks like a massive pita.
And something i have been putting off for some time now.

New battery for the Burb
That storm just brushed us up here but we got some good winds out of it. Stuff was blowing around. We don’t usually get wind from the south like that, it always blows East out of the Columbia River Gorge. We did get a lot of rain but not like you guys did. It put out your forest fires though I heard.
