I didn't do anything to my Denali....but I did think about buying a new Mid engine SUV........at the Naples Cars on fifth

Most had prancing ponys but there were at least 10 of these....

My question is about whether the hvac will blow warm air immediately after I start it instead of a mile down the road if I use the block heater but I also never thought about it having a thermostat. And it’s a NBS if that matters. I see that one warms and circulates the coolant so I’m guessing it would.
Mine did. On my 78 c10 I had some heat right away and the hood would be melted off in places. The windshield would be partially defrosted down low even. Standing outside the truck you could hear the little heater chug like a perc coffee pot.

My Yukon was originally ordered with a block heater (sold in OR). But I'll never need it (I'm in SC). How much work is it to remove it? Are they worth anything used?

Seen a few C8's driving around here.
Also a local guy has a Lamborghini, they really look better in person.
(stradman is also local, seen him in slc a few times with his)

2d images don't capture how wide the side intake ports are.

10 years from now, the C8 will be in my price range. :D
IMO, they look amazing with larger wheels and lowered to remove that ugly wheel gap.

what a stark contrast to California, everyone is wearing mask's here then again you are required to if you are within 6ft of anyone outside your home. :boxed:

You could get $25 on eBay for it. You’ll also need to replace the brass threaded freeze plug and lost coolant. It would be absolutely foolish to remove it. Not that hard to install. I did mine in my driveway. While I was there I drained, flushed, and replaced the coolant.

here it's strongly suggested, but they won't try and force people due to the constitution and stuff. :D

I heard some places were trying to force you to wear one inside of your home as well..

Ya they "suggested" that people wear a mask inside if you go out to grocery shop, etc
it's rather funny that "all of a sudden" the numbers drop like rocks, all we had was a Christmas/new years spike, doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure that out.

I was at the bank the other day, funny to watch a guy enter the building with out a mask.
Sure people gave him a "look" but the staff left him alone.

He did of course notice he was the only one and grabbed one of the complementary masks. :jester:

Only one that had a next day amazon prime.
the seats in my hoe were thirsty!!!
Much better already, but i did need to kick on the seat warmers in order to help them absorb the conditioner.

I should have googled before asking. You can buy them brand new for $30. Not worth the trouble to remove, as you said. And who knows? Maybe I'll need it on a road trip to the great white north one day.

it's nice, wife is happy as a clam (I don't know why clams are happy).

nice car, seller is a good guy and took really good care of the thing.
Cleaned and conditioned the seats, put some bows on it so the neighbors know i bought my wife a car for valentines day.
:D

Had it detailed yesterday.
the thing looks brand fkn new, not even a scratch on it.

Neighbor that just bought a brand new Toyota suv thingy, gave me the stink eye...

Also, is it just me or do all of these fkn little suv's look exactly the same?

Swapped the driver’s door cards between the twins. Thecopcar had a pristine one which is one reason why I picked it. I had no idea how unusual an intact door pull was. Theothertwin had the usual nnbs broke ass pull. Since thecopcar is the utility vehicle with a giant U, I could put the crappy one in then fabricate something functional.

Well, not only did the headlight bulb go out a few days ago, now my driver's side brake light quit. I know it's just a loose wire, and I tried messing with it a few times, but I give up. Ordered another set sadly. It's the g5 replicas This will be 3 sets of taillights in the garage.....

didn't think about the water pump

oh well, I'll own that when it comes time.
Most likely I'll hire the job out to the guy that removed the exhaust bolt in my Tahoe head while i did the afm delete.
he has a two post lift...

The man did a 6.2 swap in his JK jeep... :ehcapt:

Not that he needs the money, but he does odd jobs to offset the cost of his hobbies, and i totally trust him.

so i guess when the water pump needs replacing, do the cam phasers, and timing chain at the same time.
and vice versa :jester:

Or on the other side, an excuse for me to get a two post lift... hmm ;)

I was not trying to spoil your process, but just proving some useful insight/intel.

Run away screaming from it. When I was a GM tech, we had 4 of them on average a week in the shop for trans problems, and timing issues. I got so good at dropping the engine, I'd have them out in under 45 mins. Also, changing headlights, air filter, or the oil filter suck bad. These are not good cars I'm sorry to say

Ahh, that flat rate life!
