Truth! Never was a fan of pills. Beer was my nemesis. Tried coke twice. Was way too good. I knew I couldn’t do that any more. I got lucky I could say no! 9 years soberI can't take any unless I absolutely have too, otherwise I risk everything I love in my life. Addiction is a real mean *****.

Get some POR15.... never rust there again... just don't get it on bare skin... believe me it doesn't come off easy...Also, here is what I'm doing to my GMT900 today...well, for the past 4 weeks. I finally got the block back from the machine shop last night. Heads should be done this time next week. As you can see, I got this 2nd hand from somewhere that had salt. But we're gonna sand down and paint the frame we CAN get to prior to dropping the engine and transmission back in.View attachment 255268 View attachment 255269
Started to lose oil pressure, and knew I already had a slow drip out of the rear main and the dreaded piston slap. Also knew the transmission was not as crisp as I'd like...so it was time. Figured I could do a few tweaks to the engine internals (better lifters/pushrods/springs/pistons/etc, different cam, port and bowl work on the heads etc...) while fixing the broken engine mounts, rear main leak, sluggish transmission, etc. Don't fear the engine work...that I'm comfortable with. Just don't ask me to bondo and prep the body on any of your vehicles. Don't mind laying down the color, just need practice on the prep work stuff. Other than that, it's easy! Looking for another 130k out of it...and I'll consider the money well spent. Why all the engine work?
We have an "Other Vehicles" thread here. Please post there. We're all gearheads here, and love, and can appreciate all vehicles, and all work being done.Started to lose oil pressure, and knew I already had a slow drip out of the rear main and the dreaded piston slap. Looking forward to getting it back up and running again, so I can focus on the K5 (rebuild the front diff kingpins and tie rod ends...then practicing that body work nonsense so I can finally paint it, new weather stripping, and then get the interior back in). But that's a different truck for a different forum.

I like that lap top mount.

I was out a bit ago picking up Applebee's carside to go and had my Torque Pro app on and it showed my fuel pressure at 43.5 while idling.
when I had mine hooked up, warmed up and idling oil pressure said 34 the one time looked at it as I was scrolling thru.I was out a bit ago picking up Applebee's carside to go and had my Torque Pro app on and it showed my fuel pressure at 43.5 while idling.
Off topic, but my oil pressure while idling was 28-30psi
