Took it to Walmart to get a few things for the trip tomorrow. Noticed on the way there the average MPG went back up from 15.7 to 16.4. I'd have to say that sudden jump was from using 89 octane on the last fill-up. I picked up six of the $0.97 bottles of SuperTech fuel treatment and dumped 2 bottles in the remaining 3/4 tank of gas. I'll use two at every fill-up along this trip and note the MPG and any changes in engine operation. It'll also be the first all-highway driving since disabling AFM. Also, I've been slacking on checking the tire air pressure. After today's ~30-mile round trip, the tire pressure is 25 for both fronts and 30 for both rears. I usually keep it around 35 front and rear. Correct pressure would contribute to even better MPG.

Going back to the garage to correct this and check the fluids...
cold air/temps probably what made the pressure lower

should be the same place for all nnbs, if you pop your hood and look at the latch there is a wire harness coming out the bottom right hand corner and then leading over towards driver side, one of those wires is going to be a trigger that can be ran to a relay. you don't want to try to run power from that harness that's probably not a good idea, just tap it for a trigger

Going to try this when it gets warmer. Thanks.

Yup. We'll have snow one day (or at least cold enough temps for it) then be in the 70s a few days later. Regardless, I should be checking the pressure more regularly. Wouldn't be an issue if my TPMS system was working. That'll be fixed soon, though.

I also saw a measurable mpg bump from running 89. Not so much by going up even higher. Been running 89 since.

Also, I notice no spark knock when I run a top-tier 89. I tend to use the throttle a lot more than Jenn, so 89 is a necessity for me. When Jenn drives it, the cheapest cat piss is fine cuz she's too short to push the pedal past 60% throttle.

I'm going back to factory intake because the Airaid drones at times. Most people wouldn't notice or care at all. Bugs me.

I put one on the Burb and haven't noticed it BUT it's my wife's ride so I don't drive it that much and we haven't taken any long trips with it since I installed it. I am running the stock air box with a K&N style filter.

I'd been running the Airaid MIT for months and didn't notice it. Something is different now and not sure what it is. I looked at the connections and they were tight. Then I experimented with putting the factory intake assembly back on, and the drone went away.

I believe it. Drone or sound resonance at certain frequencies is something really weird and can be interpreted/heard differently depending on the person / environment.
Maybe thats why GM put this huge plastic piece there :)
