Well the wife has been complaining about the truck being “weak”. Well I de decided to change the plugs and wires. The plugs are the only thing that came in so those went in. Took all of 30 mins. Then I detailed the inside. I’ll wash the outside tomorrow.

Thanks. I wasn't aware they mixed like that... I'd prefer all my "wood" be brushed. Faux wood bugs me... I haven't been able to find the brushed stuff anywhere online. I've also considered painting it all. Black would be a safe bet. If I painted it all arctic white to match the outside, I'm not quite sure if that'd be awesome or tacky..

Pre-2000, colormatching the interior would've been awesome. Don't do it. If you want something to contrast with the black interior, I think silver/brushed would work out nicely. Or, gloss black (like piano black) would be clean and sporty but with a hint of classiness.

In order of best to least best, vinyl-wrapping, hydro-dipping and spray-painting are your options. IIRC, the all-brushed trim was on the lower-level trim packages (LS, etc.). You could check here and other forums for members that have this that may want to swap you for your woodgrain. But, you're at the mercy of whatever condition their's is in- scratches, gouges and/or broken clips from removal, etc.. Wrapping, dipping or painting yours guarantees a new/undamaged finish.

I believe I'm gonna go with black burlwood vinyl wrap. Black for the sportiness but still woodgrain for the classiness. The burlwood design looks a lot like wisps of silver smoke that woodgrain. I chatted with a forum member a few months ago about sending me a sheet big enough to wrap all my trim. It's just another mod that'll have to wait until the Tahoe is mine again.

This is the sexiness I'm pursuing:

This one's pretty nice if you wanna keep it more stock-like (Denali-ish):

Need pics and a write up
Since I am going to get under there this week to fix some leaks, I will snap some, pics and post them up. Can't get the collector to y connections to stop leaking. So, if I can find some decent flanges locally i am going to,go that route.

This popped up in the random media this morning and reminded me of your post:

While I'd like to see if the rest of the Tahoe has been made "Vette-esque", I don't find the white trim very appealing.

I did the SLP resonator delete today. SLP forgot to put clamps in the box but they gladly sent some on the UPS truck in two days.

I haven't but, it'd be a great idea. Not sure why they didn't include one. They used to back in the day.

ya I have a flashlight in the console but would be nice to have just for convenience, I might hit up the junk yard and grab a harness off one of the nbs and make it work

Plasti dipped my emblems. I tried to put led lights in my low beams but the fan hit the brace. Oh well my wife got them for a dollar for doing a review. I may notch the beam since I will be doing retrofit down to road. Sucks because they had a great output

What do you do to keep your batteries up:) Do you test them often to make sure they're still good

I replaced my flashlight with one of these. Suckers bright and can be set in a few different positions.
It would be nice to have something readily available tucked under the hood somewhere like they used to.

I had this streamlight mounted in the back of my old nbs right above the rear charger, I just haven't put it in this one yet, keeps it charged 24/7, police hand flashlight
