buddy. I bought at seven, saw it on sale black Friday for 4 and now it's considerably higher.Oh really? Do you remember which manufacture?
Keep in mind, it's not a winch bumper. I made it in to one because I already had the hidden winch mount and didn't want to just scrap it.buddy. I bought at seven, saw it on sale black Friday for 4 and now it's considerably higher.
The truck came with titanium (puke grey) and the beige that remains. I gutted a suburban for the black and split the door skins and put them back together.Okay, I love that two-tone interior. I don't want to but I do.
I had swapped the seats and carpet at this point but not the rest. The truck came with titanium (puke grey) and the beige that remains. I gutted a suburban for the black and split the door skins and put them back together.
One of a kind.. no factory option like that.
Any tips on combining the split door panel halves? The truck came with titanium (puke grey) and the beige that remains. I gutted a suburban for the black and split the door skins and put them back together.

I thought that would be the story on the interior! (The swap)I had swapped the seats and carpet at this point but not the rest.
Nasty..
Any tips on combining the split door panel halves?
I just drilled the heads off the melted rivets the factory did and used some really good silicon glue/sealant to put them back together. Plenty of clamps till it dried. Seems to be working well.Any tips on combining the split door panel halves?
I did carbon fiber stick ons. I've always been crazy but it's kept me from going insane.I thought that would be the story on the interior! (The swap)
I happen to like the puke gray. Mine is Ebony. I never liked a black interior until this car. Now I love it.
Anyway, the two-tone is sweet but way to much work for me. For now anyway...but I still need to know...
Also, just wondering, any plans for the faux wood trim? The ppv/z71 brushed trim would be SICK.
I've separated panels before-- not on a Tahoe/Suburban, but they're made pretty much the same way. I used silicone/adhesive along with small/short sheet metal screws with large heads. I put those screws where I drilled out the plastic rivets. Also used a few clamps to hold the pieces together until they dried. Came out great.I just drilled the heads off the melted rivets the factory did and used some really good silicon glue/sealant to put them back together. Plenty of clamps till it dried. Once all the fasteners are put back on instalation it's not going anywhere.
I'm sure there are better ways, but I'm a hack on a mission.
Appreciate it...I cant leave things alone either lolbuddy. I bought at seven, saw it on sale black Friday for 4 and now it's considerably higher.
So I think my G80 is dying. It seemed to have locked and got stuck after hitting some ice in a parking lot this afternoon. Wheel was chirping trying to get around a corner at slow speed. Sooo thats neat.
Another fix to add to the spring list.
It did unlock after I drove it home. Even did circles in a different parking lot no issue. It is due for a fluid change as wellmine tried to lock up on the wife, no ice just binding at low speed in a parking lot. shortly after I changed the fluid with some auto parts store stuff. they all seem to have some level of limiting slip additive. which I guess these hate. so I went to the dealer. paid extra for their formula for the vin and it never has done it again.
if you search very deep on Google. you'll find a few people have reported the issue with fluid with additive but seems 99% of. people never have a problem.
also I think I read somewhere that 25 to 30mph is what's needed to mechanically disable the locking. you might be OK their failure mode seem to be explode or not lock because of worn clutches.
Good luck on the sparkle-test.It is due for a fluid change as well

If I do it in the dark and I dont see anything does that count as a pass?Good luck on the sparkle-test.
