Plug=wire harness plug that plugs into AC compressor.

DeSlugger is a little electronic box that plugs in-line to the above discribed plug.

I never heard of the compressor slugging, not sure where I’ve been all these years lol. Mine don’t do it, is it just certain compressors or models?

Pretty sure if it was potentially a issue on these trucks we all would have heard about it a long time ago, my guess is if oil is getting in the compressor and causing slugging then the compressor is bad and probably just needs to be replaced at that point.

Yeah, I never really heard of it being a problem (owned my 2001 since 2007) until I saw Snowdrifter post about it.

I was ordering oil and filters from RockAuto and went ahead and ordered a DeSlugger also and installed it a couple months ago

Not if it makes the compressor sound or act funny! Mine has exhibited no noises so Ill leave it alone.

Yes they did and one can add it easily enough to the GMT900s and have a tuner activate it.

Now you're a pro at it and it'll take half the time as before!

Cool, mine runs best at around 20% gas mileage wise. That cat temp wasn't constant was it at that speed? Mine cool down a few degrees every minute until the throttle is blipped to maintain speed over bridges.

It's supposed to cycle power on and off to it real quick when starting up to help purge any oil out of it before it actually starts to fully run. Fast enough to not notice it, but I notice it and can hear it.

If my compressor was new, or I was installing a new one I would probably use the Deslugger, but as far as I know, my compressor is 7 years old
