You may want to try a different dealer if they have 30 orders and aret getting allocations.

I may have too. I've followed their website and I think they've gotten 4 Yukons in over the last few months.

It likely depends on what options you added and making a few together to make production better. When mine was built, i had a build datein early August, but a week later i was given a new tpw that was 6 weeks later than before. I still assume it was due to our ride having ench seating in all 3 rows and they wanted to build a few together at same time.

Finally got the call last week, 15 months almost to the day! We are very happy we changed colors to the titanium rush and can't wait to go pick it up!

We received the “your Yukon has been built” email from GMC yesterday! It was especially surprising since it was Memorial Day and we never got a TPW update from our dealer. I’m hopefully it’ll be here in time for the July 4th weekend!

Build details:
-2023 Yukon XL Denali
-6.2

-22” polished aluminum
-Sunroof
-2nd row bench
-Max tow

Order timeline and updates:
-Order placed at dealer on 3/07/23
-Dealer received allocation on 04/03/23

It looks like our orders were accepted by GMC on the same day. We never got a TPW but did get the “your Yukon has been built” email from GMC on 5/29/23. Hopefully you get the same email in the next few days!

We got that same email shortly after our order was accepted and it was wildly inaccurate, I don't know if maybe there'ds a glitch that once a TPW is assigned it sends that email? Because prior to that email we didn't have a TPW but after we got that email I went to online chat and we had been assigned a TPW but vehicle hadn't been built (or started production for that matter)!

The system for the email status updates leaves A LOT to be desired, it was never actually accurate on anything LOL

Interesting, thanks for that info. GMC chat still says “your vehicle is moving towards the production process.” Was the chatbot able to give you a TPW or did you talk with a representative?

I spoke with an agent, be prepared that some of them like to say "we don't give status codes" while others do no problem if you ask for that! But when I asked for the TPW they gave it to me without issue!

I just contacted the Chevy chat (agent) and got a TPW of 6/5/2023!!! So maybe yours was built this week?

Interesting..I had the same experience. Order went in and was accepted the next day. A week later we get the email saying the vehicle has been built. When I talk to chat the automated system says the vehicle is working towards production. When asking an advisor, they tell me to talk to the dealer and never give me info.

I finally bugged the dealer just over a week ago and he said it was in production, but no other details and didn't give me a status code.

I didn't know what to believe the email or the dealer, but now I tend to believe the dealer. He did mention I should have the vehicle around middle of July.

I got that email on my order too but when I chatted with CS they said TPW was a week later and not sure why I got the email.

I ordered on February 21st.

5/20/23 GMC.com Customer service said TPW 5/29 and not sure why I got the built email.

Hi all, new here! I ordered a 2023 Yukon XL Denali. This thread has been great at helping me estimate when I will be able to pick it up so thought I'd post my timeline below.

4/25/23 - Submitted order with dealership
5/3/23 - Order has been accepted for production email
5/11/23 - TPW of 5/22/23 given to me by GMC chat
5/12/23 - Your GMC Yukon XL has been built email
5/31/23 - VIN and window sticker available on GMC inventory website
6/1/23 - Event code 4000 via GMC chat

Dealership said they have no way of tracking when it will get there but hoping in the next couple of weeks. It is only going 4 hours from Arlington so surely shipping won't take long!

So, I was able to talk to an agent through GMC chat.. They said the vehicle was not built, but did give me a TPW of 6/5/23. So the “your Yukon has been built” e-mail appears to be a glitch. (Posssibly associated with a TPW being assigned.)
