One way would be to do a search on YouTube for something like "updating Tech 2 with TIS2web" or some such search. There is a guy who makes a bunch of clips on using the Tech 2 with the online service. It probably means a subscription to GM's TIS2web download stuff, but I think it is pretty cheap. Not sure how that compares to a new card price wise though.
Card is $21..00 form the guys I bought the tool from. I wish I wouldn't have been in such a hurry.

That's the thing with my life. Never time for me to do the stuff I wanna do at a reasonable pace. it's always in a hurry! And I screw stuff up in the process.

Well, I just checked on GM's site and the one time 33.004 update is $249! So that doesn't make sense compared to a new card. Sorry bud.

PS - You are not alone in the get it done now camp. I think we all suffer from that to some degree. My Dad was the only man I ever knew who always looked before he leaped into a project.

The issue for me is as long as I sit on my ass and do nothing I am ok. As soon as I start something for myself the Wife or Kids have some sort of ******** "emergency" and I get interrupted. Because my "hobby" is not important!

Great! Now I ****** up my Tech2 and I'm all pissed off!

I totally understand. I call it "getting blown up" when I am working on something and my wife comes in with something that needs attention "right now".

I have bad news though, as you age, not only does everything get "blown up", but you forget where you were, when you do get a few spare moments to resume what you wanted to be working on. The reboot takes more time... :(

I have a couple old laptops with pcmcia slots that use for various things. I wonder what the file is like on the card. I could probably pull the card out of the tech2 and put it into one of them and try to read it and possibly copy the file/s off

Only problem I see is the format of the card. Windows may not be able to read it
This would be a great exercise. if it fails I will have to buy a new card which is no biggie.

Just tried real quick before I have to run out for a bit. Laptop is looking for a driver when I insert it (unity digital 32mb flash card) and using a generic driver fails to read it. I'll look more for a driver when I get back.

Did you find a copy of that mem card explorer software (MCE)?

Don't kill yourself over this. I ordered a card from Chinacardiags for $21.00

It would be fun to try to figure this out anyway tho.

I appreciate the effort!

Well, even after saving back on this card I find our envoy geeks out when I start the tech2 and it connects. Went in fine on the second attempt. I wonder if it is the card or the vci module.
