Got some stuff today. Sub box. Console mounting bracket. Console lid cover. ( No the Katzkin set didn’t come with one) Rubber insert for console lid latch.

I painted the bracket flat black. Mounted the sub in the box. Swapped out the amp in The Beast so it has the 650w and this will have the 450w. Reassembled the console. Reupholstered the lid which was actually hard to do. I need to get a couple wrinkles out still but it looks pretty damn good overall.

I discovered the latch is broken so I’m ordering a new one but it came out pretty damn good for what I have into it. Without the $211 brushed metal cup holder I’m in this less than $100 thanks to LKQ.

OK so this is where they get you. That stupid latch is over $50 and they must be prone to breaking. I'm going to see if I can come up with some way to make it work. Hopefully better than the original.

I disassembled it and can see no way to attach a piece to replace the broken hook part. Gruven should make a replacement latch, it just pops in. I have it figured out though. There’s a 3rd party seller on Amazon with one that gets 1star because the mounting holes are wrong so everybody sends them back. Except one person who said in their review that they removed the hook part itself and popped it in their old latch assembly and it worked. I’m going to let that ****** company get one returned with my broken hook installed in their latch with holes in the wrong place because they deserve it, plus their product is worthless anyway. All I need is their hook.I call it Karma. They shouldn’t be selling a product they doesn’t work. I’ll be out nothing, and Amazon will back me up.

Tonight I decided to see if the sub and console fit in the truck together. I followed the directions on cutting “a couple tabs” on the inside of the console with a dremel and the box almost fit in the console right, so I removed a bunch more and it fit just like the picture. Then I attached the console to the box with some screws and tried to fit it into place. No way. So I separated them, slid the box into place and tried to slide the console forward. No way, it needed to go forward about 8 more inches. I could see what was hitting so I removed the console and cut more. Success. It’s tight and that sub box has zero place to move. Rodney was right when he said the console holds it in place.

You should look into a lily brush for the carpet. That pretty pup will get white hair all up in that (even if (s)he doesnt go for rides in your truck, itll fall from your clothes)

Other than that the truck looks amazing
Never heard of those , but I just ordered one. Thanks!

I couldn’t wait anymore to see what the sub sounded like so I hooked it up temporarily tonight. I don’t have any good speaker wire yet and didn’t have time to mount the amp. I was starting to worry that the JL was too much for the box and would sound like shit but I’m happy to say it hits super hard. I still need to dial the amp and HU sub adjustments in but I am impressed. People will definitely be wondering where all the bass is coming from. It shakes the cab pretty good. Played Low Rider by War and some Audioslave.
