I pulled the driver side door panels to paint the armrests and switch housings. I decided this is the last time I’m pulling them off so if there’s anything else I see they needed, nows the time. I took a good look at them and saw a few areas where they were scratched or discolored. There wasn’t much I could do for the scratches except cover them as much as possible and a coat of paint should help and it will cover the discoloring. So that included the screw cover pieces. I was going to mask the top part and leave it but nothing would stick to it unless I scrubbed it with denatured and scotchbrite which left them grayish so I painted the whole damn panel. I have 100% faith in the Fusion. I have used it for years now on interior and exterior and never had it fail.

You mean to tell me you're not getting the LTZ door panels as well?

:yaoface2:
Lol. Can’t find any for less than both arms and both legs. I did look into it. They also require wiring harnesses, switches to and door latch cables. Not ruling it out in the future though. Maybe just give me yours.

For light scratches on plastic, I use a heat gun. Works great, especially on those little plastic "hairs". Heat it only for a few seconds tho.

I’m sure the headliner is different too... wasn’t there a special rfid-blocking window tint on the LTZ’s..? Probably need all new glass.
and the uber special glove box door with plantinum between the plastic layers. Better hop on eBay and track one down

I got the new console latch tonight. The reviews said the screw holes didn’t line up so I was planning on swapping the actual hook part with my broken one and returning it but the holes lined up. But it wouldn’t tighten down and left a gap around the upholstery. So I cut about 1/8” off the bosses on the lid and that worked. The first 2 pics are before the mod. Sure wish I would have noticed the latch was broken before I bought the rubber insert because this came with one. And I was stupid enough to pay $20 for that OEM rubber piece. I’ll post it for sale in the classifieds but it will cost $8 to ship it usps.

Crap I made a offer on an LTZ door panel. I guess it begins lol. It might take awhile though. One part at a time.

:lol2:

I knew that wouldn't take long....
