Very nice! Sounds like that was a hellova lot easier than the front DS..!

What are you using to steam it? I have a machine I bought to take down wallpaper at my old house, and was considering trying that on a cover I acquired from a member here. Need to take out some wrinkles..
PurSteam steamer from Amazon. It has an extension that’s flexible as well as several other attachments.

And after waiting for the 5/32" staples to arrive, they don't fit the Harbor Freight stapler, it seems the only staples that fit that are Harbor Freight staples. So it's going back. I ordered a Fasco 7c staple gun from Amazon. It will be here tomorrow and it will fit the staples. It's half the price of the Senco. It's another $70 over the HF one but it's quality. And I can always return it after I use it if I decide to but I'll probably keep it. You can never have too many tools.

Worked a bit late and finished the driver rear. It’s got a few wrinkles that I’m gonna work on but it’s pretty good. I might be able to get the steamer in a couple places or at least relax the leather by hitting it from outside.

I calmed down and tore the damn thing apart. I can buy a used base for about $80. And I can get an OEM brushed metal cup holder insert for about $200 new. I have new leather for the lid. The rest can be painted. I’m hoping for a complete refund from LKQ.

I just called them, they got my email and pictures and agreed to refund me the total order including shipping, $249.95 total. I’m satisfied. When it’s all said and done it will be nicer than original.
Excellent! Glad to hear it.

I got the driver side vent piece today. It’s in perfect condition and only cost me about $20. I also ordered another main center vent piece, the one my air gauge is in, because of the scratches in it. I know it will bother me, and I found one that doesn’t have the hole for the DIC switches so nobody bid on it, starting bid was $40. I messaged the seller and offered him $20 plus $10 shipping if the main part was in perfect condition. He sent me close up pics and it looked great. I plan on moving the DIC panel off the other one onto his, I can unmelted/ remelt the mount things on the back. So that was a score since those go for $100 or more used if you can even find one.

This is the cup holder/ organizer I bought in the brushed metal. OEM and it was expensive as hell ($210) but since the console was free, why not. It will really update the look and match the rest of the dash. I know, I know, it has chrome buttons (why in the hell) but I will fix that.
