I left the center rails off the roof rack. I rarely ever use it and the Esky rack is easy to reinstall them on if needed.

So here it is today. I just installed the handles and rack 2 days ago. It’s getting there. Oh, the windshield got a big ol crack last week so I’ll be getting it replaced soon.

I plan on debadging it today, not sure if my 6 lb test fishing line is up to it. Doubt it. :)

It handles great. The ride isn’t as soft as with the 20’s but it’s fine. I think I need new front shocks. I’m almost positive I need front shocks. :p Everything else has been worn out , original stuff at 166k.

I debadged the tailgate using some 20 lb test and a $10 eraser wheel. Not sure why 3M wants $50 for the

same thing. This works great. I used my buffer to polish it up.

One of the better nnbs builds/mod I've seen.
Silver birch metallic? No kidding! I thought it was Silver Birch, then Silver Ice (like mine) then you said silver birch...dang it Silver Birch is nicer than Silver Ice.

Coming along very nicely Mark. Have you decided whether you're definitely going to fix the beast? It's still a badass ride.
Almost positive I’ll fix it. I’ve just had a lot of other stuff going on with kicking cancers ass while making sure this truck got me to all my appointments and Im talking dozens and dozens while at the same time doing these mods. And then my backyard/pond/koi fiasco I’ve been dealing with. The Beast is something that needs to be put back on the road.

Speaking of koi, I just was able to move my two newest to the big pond from quarantine. I named the big one Big Bad John and the other’s type is Asagi so I just named him Mr Asagi but his nickname is soggy aka soggy fish. Big John is a 20.5’ Showa and Mr Asagi is 18”. I have 3 more coming from Hawaii, same place I bought these. It’s an auction and I had them shipped Hawaiian Air Freight overnight. I’ve been battling pond issues and just recently figured out what was happening; one guy was rooting in the lily pots at night when I couldn’t see him until he was caught by me at 2:30 AM. The issue has been fixed, he can’t get through the rocks and his name was changed to Rootie as a result. :)

Here’s the last 3 I have room for. Their types in order top to bottom are Beni Kikokuryu, Ginrin Platinum and Shusui. That will b 8 large koi that will only get bigger. These are all 18-19”.

I have seen the both ways. Both ways look good to me, so im 50/50 on keeping or removing. I'm leaving mine on as im used to seeing it that way but if one falls off they are all probably gone.
It's more up to you and what you want. I like em either way.
