Are any of y'all familiar with this outfit? It's the only place I've found, so far, that rebuilds and warrantees this module, but the price is high.

Ideas for alternative sources are also welcome.

The buttons in mine are getting really balky. I don't want to order another bad one from eBay. Plus, most have the black worn off of buttons- minor but ugly.

I looked on ebay, they mostly look worn out. Theres a few that look nice, but they have more than one so photo may not be accurate.
You might contact those sellers and see if they have a nice one they can send actual photos of...

Other than that, hopefully amazon will carry a new repro unit someday...

If you know your RPO code and part number, might check on www.car-part.com. Sometimes they have good pics of the stock.

Is there a GM part number for this control?

This is from the vendor's page, in the link. I assume that's what these are. You bring up a great point. The part numbers, for all kinds of bits, change a lot.

This is '07 Escalade with heated/cooled front seats.

MPN: 25936308, 25809869

Don't know. The KB6 RPO is correct. How/where do I look for the part number? Do I have to remove the unit to see the rear of it?

The ones in your Car-Part link mostly look as well-used as on eBay; and cost almost as much as the rebuilt, warranteed unit in the link I posted.

The parts guy at the local Cadillac dealer says my VIN's part # is 25936307. He doesn't know the difference between the 25936307 and 25936308 versions.

for you electronic gurus... I'm wondering if spraying it with CRC Contact Cleaner or something similar would be a worthwhile gamble, since balky buttons are my main issue.

Worth a shot?

But I would plan to remove and disassemble it, that should be as good as it'll get..

I'm not sure how much disassembly is even possibe, but I would definitely remove it first.

When using electrical contact cleaner be careful with plastic bits; they may get damaged. Also make sure the cleaner dries before putting the control back in service.

While you have it out take pics of the label(s) that should be on the back.

I don't know any companies, but have had good luck taking apart various modules out of these trucks. I expect it shouldn't be too difficult, hopefully.
Just need picks, or some thin metal strips to pry up plastic tabs usually.

SWAG: ask United Radio if they are familiar with repairing these.

I emailed them, and 2 ebay sellers. UR and one ebayer haven't responded.

LOL, the other ebayer thinks they have it, but want me to pay before they start going through their inventory.

There are roughly a dozen different part numbers superseding each other. This sure doesn't help.

If your part is the one ending in 307, see this link for comparable part numbers: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-dash-control-unit-19370231

And this one, but look closely at the description as to how it applies to heated and cooled seats: https://www.gmpartsdirect.com/oem-parts/gm-heater-control-25928678

According to my local dealer, mine does end in 307, which supersedes many others. Mine has to be for RPO KB6, which means heated/ cooled seats. Ironically enough, I've never even tried those features.

Thanks, but both of your links are 'discontinued- no longer available'.
