i have the nav with bose with a mono amp and a 12"L5. it sounds ok, but the highs are not loud enough. i plan on using the mtx re-q to try to get rid of the factory bass curve which will probably make it worse. does any one know if it's possible to leave all the factory speakers running off the bose amp except the doors. i want to replace them and power them with a 4 channel amp from my old truck amp.i wanna just put some 3ways in the doors have them running with the bose tweeters in the front and rear pillars. any input appreciated

so you don't have a seperate aftermarket amp for the L5?

if so, I bet that sounds terrible. There is no way an OEM Bose amp will power that to potential. I suggest a LOC, aftermarket amp for the sub.

Now, you can replace the door speakers, but I'd just rank all the Bose out, get a 5 channel amp, something like 85x4, and 400-500 on sub. You can retain all the Nav and factory HU as well, and all functions.
Would be a HUGE improvement.

the L5 is powered by a mono kicker amp. i have a 4 channel kicker amp from my old car that i wanna just use for the 4 doors. i just wondered if the bose amp would freak out running just the other speakers
