Hello, I have a 2003 Yukon Denali with the Bose system I am looking to upgrade. I have done a bunch of research and just looking for some clarification in regards to adding an aftermarket amplifier to my system. So far I have installed a Kenwood head unit with the PAC control interface with the stock Bose amp and speakers. Now I want to upgrade the speakers and run an aftermarket 4 channel to power them. My plan is to run the RCA's from the deck to the amp, and run new wiring from the amp to the new door speakers. I will then cut the old speaker wire from the Bose amp output, and keep the Bose amp powered on for the Bose sub. Any issues with this? And will it keep the factory door chimes working as the do now?

Thank you in advance for the help.

This is one of those questions that comes up often on here. I have not done this myself, but do a brief search and you'll get some decent answers. The biggest problem you will face is the Bose system is a 2 Ohm system, and most, common systems are 4 Ohms. So mixing and matching is probably going to be a problem.

I have researched the bose system running 2 ohms, which is why I'm not utilizing the Bose amp for the speakers. From the research I've gather doing searches it seems the factory audio cues such as door chime, warning lights and so forth, go through the bose amp, which is why I installed the PAC controller when I replaced the factory head unit. I'm trying to see if anyone has installed an aftermarket amp for the speakers using rca from the aftermarket head unit, while keeping the Bose amp to power the Bose factory sub. And if doing so, does it keep the door chime and warning lights noise active.

Ah! That makes a lot of sense. I have not seen that question before. I'm kind of interested as well.

There's at least one member who does competition audio. He may know, or may know who to ask. Look for "competition audio build" to figure out who the member is.
