Did the new piston make that sound go away?
So long as you're using 5w30 or 0w30, just wait til the noise goes away before you put it in Drive.... Sometimes I have a slight tick on cold start for 5-10 seconds but welcome to hydraulic lifters I guess ...

If you want the engine to last longer, wait til 30sec AFTER the tick stops, then drive daisy for the next 5min til it's more warmed up,
and don't drive it hard til at least 15min after.
Older people and older engines need to be warmed up before really exerting themselves.
