3rd brake light has been smoked out:

Just as visible when I'm on the brakes but disappears when not on ... that little mod turned out great imho.

Did you buy 3rd brake light smoked or some kind of tint film put on it, if bought, where?

No it was professionally painted ... I bought it as is from this ebay seller: http://myworld.ebay.com/auto_lights_unlimitd/?_trksid=p4340.l2559

He doesn't seem to have one for sale at the moment but you could shoot him a message and see if he can either get one or if you can send one in to him to smoke.

Yeah, i figured I was setting myself up for disappointment with that one... But im an optimist so ill wait to see what he chimes in with

My guy at the dealer did it in all of five minutes ... I think if you unscrew the two bolts at the top edges of the liftgate the spoiler tilts up. Either that or there's a screw or two in the area hidden behind the rubber cap thingie that covers the harness. Sorry I can't be more specific but it really did take about 5-10 minutes.

Okay so as I mentioned in the 'what did you do today' thread I removed my rain guards who's look I liked but had issues with.

What issues did you have with them?

Well, it was a little noisier at highway speeds but that didn't really bother me. Mostly I had a peculiar issue ... the wind turbulence at highway speed was making air go inside my mirror housings where the 'esky gap' is, and that was making the mirror lenses vibrate which was driving me nuts. Funny how little mods can compound to a small but unnerving issue.

Not sure in the difference in part number or doors but the ones for the Hoes is part #82426 and the one for a Burb is #84426

I wonder what the differences are. I would have assumed that part of the door to be the same....
