2011 Tahoe LT 4WD Engine Code 0, Flex Fuel 5.3l.....

Did the oil change last night (Mobil 1 Extended Performance) and removed the air cleaner hose to look at the throttle body. Opened to butterfly and reveiled that there is a coating of oil in the plenum. Infact in one of the lower divets of the plunom there is actually a small pool the size of a dime. A note to add is that I changed the oil 4,000 miles ago and filled it with 6 quarts; I drained out 5 quarts last night so it was a quart low.

The car runs good, has the minimal normal idle variance. The engina has 81,500 miles on it. The powertrain warrnaty ended in the begining of Feb 2016. I do have an extended warranty but obviously I would prefer GM to cover the cost or atleast the deductible. But, if not oh well, more or less just trying to figure out the issue.

Happens because of a combination of poor PCV design and the AFM function. Shutting off AFM cured mine, but I also installed a catch can to prevent this.

What catch can did you install? What is the process for installing it, any modifications needed for it?
