Touchy subject I wasn't told they were installing that carrier, for an extra 4 or 500 bucks I would of opted for the LSD carrier.
So what are you going to do? You don't want to be like this guy do you?

If you kept your original carrier, just swap the ring gear and carrier bearings over to it. At least you'll have something.

I just rebuild both my differentials, 3.42 ratio. If I had know I was rebuilding both I would have changed to 3.73 gears with the 6.2 and a 6L80. With 3.42 in 6th gear on the highway at anything less than 75 it downshifts going up even mild hills. 3.73 would have been a better fit for this rig.

As far as 4,000 for your conversion, having done the work that is not an excessive price. As far as doing all that work and having an open rear diff? That is wrong, they should have made that very clear.

Local shop offers a nice 3.73 package bundle , would only be doing this for some faster acceleration but not sure how bad it'll hurt me mpg wise when I'm on the highway going about 70. Im already on e85 so I go thru gas pretty quick as it is ha. Thoughts?
