I need to find a quieter muffler for my 2013 that I had to install headers on, it currently has the Corsa Sport dual exhaust/quad tips system for the Platinum/Premium rear fascia. I tried not to install headers because I didn't want the truck to be obnoxious or conspicuous, but it just couldn't breathe and I had to. I had a Corsa Touring muffler on my 2008 years ago and sold it because Corsa told me it was made to order and they could make me one any time and I foolishly believed them, now they refuse to make me one claiming it is discontinued and they don't have the tooling to make it, which seems asinine to claim an exhaust company can't make a muffler. I will likely not spend any more money with them due to this; however, not the point. I need a quieter muffler for this thing that will bolt in, I am NOT willing to cut up any pipe under any circumstances since it isn't replaceable, apparently. Flowing straight through would be preferred since flow is the whole reason I'm in this predicament. Trying to find videos on YouTube is useless because it wants to show me videos from newer trucks that I didn't search for and most of the videos I found for this body style are either crappy muffler deletes or just mufflers welded into the factory exhaust and still have the factory manifolds and cats. Nobody seems to show volume levels on their web sites any more and more and more companies are moving away from just selling a muffler.

I'm in the same predicament with my L9H Tahoe. I have ARH long tubes, cali emissions cats, 3" true duals to a DI/DO magnaflow with built in x pipe, necked down to dual 2.5" pipes over the axle that go into dynamax bullet mufflers exiting the rear on both sides. It's still too loud for me, mostly on the outside of the vehicle. I've added a lot of sound proofing on the inside so it's fairly quiet, except I have a slight drone at 1800-2000RPM

Wouldn't a local exhaust shop be able to provide you with the muffler and connection requirements that you are looking for? Not necessarily installed, of you prefer to install it yourself, but just a purchase of the correct muffler for your needs.

I doubt it. The truck is pretty highly modified and I’m not looking for cheap stuff.
The truck is pretty highly modified now, it couldn’t breathe. It’s actually getting 1 mpg better with the headers on, so far.
That’s interesting. I don’t know that I want to fool with that, but I guess that’s mainly because I know what I want is accomplishable with just a muffler if I can find someone that makes it. The Corsa Touring muffler for this body style that they won’t make me is exactly what I want because I had it on my 08 with headers.

I'm pretty happy with the dynomax I installed. Different set up though.
Single exhaust, 3 inch in and out. Offset, straight through. Don't recall the part # but it's the longest one they offer.
Nice rumble, no drone.
I tried a Borla Attak..little to aggressive for my taste.

I wonder if GM had a “performance” exhaust for that year like they do on the new ones. They are pretty tame and just add some nice rumble.
I’ve read they use a borla touring on the new ones; I have it and it’s definitely not loud enough to be obnoxious.

I'm old and completely over loud exhaust. and have valved exhaust on the car and now I want it on everything. lol.
I'm bummed there's not better aftermarket options for valve control

I have a bone stock 2008 Denali 6.2L, the exhaust is loud with a good sound but I would prefer a quiet exhaust. I know the engine has power. I don’t need the neighborhood to know every time i start the engine. It does sound really powerful but I would give up sound for quiet. I doubt a quieter exhaust would cost me 10 HP.
if you want it quiet, and are willing to swap mufflers. new next gen up as a spring loaded flap in the muffler, or in line somewhere. those really make them idle quiet.
seems they put them in the hybrid tahoe first, they got them around 2011. with it closed my 6.0 can hardly tell its running. I've wired it open, and it's noticeable louder, but zero fuel mileage gains. hp I doubt, but I never floor the truck to care anyways. they become standard on the newer models from what I understand

Is the 3" CI/CO Corsa Sport muffler in your cat-back system installed with clamps? No welds right?
If so, I would measure how long your current Corsa Sport muffler is from tip to tip and see what other 3" CI/CO mufflers are out there of the same size. Should be able to undo some clamps R&R and try different mufflers that are the same length? Even if you had to weld a bit a pipe to the muffler to match the section length in the system then still be able to R&R with clamps without cutting/modifying your Corsa cat-back system.
I understand why you wouldn't want to dice up the Corsa cat-back system to add a resonator, plus it's pretty tight down there and finding a straight section of the exhaust that was straight enough to add a 3" Vibrant Resonator would be a challenge.

Yes, the muffler is clamp in. I was hoping that would allow me to do something without welding. I looked under my 08 when I was driving it the other day and there is zero room to put a resonator. I forgot to look at the 13 yesterday, but it is a LWB, so maybe there would be room between the differential and the bumper, but I bet not. Corsa sells a resonator that claims to reduce volume by 6-8 db, but it is 16.25” long. The LWB might have room before the muffler but I don’t know if that will do anything.
