It is catted, but I just thought about that I may have issue at the inspection station since they can't see them, need to look for some one that I can pay and be over with, @Tonyrodz do you know any places to do private inspection is it even still possible to do so?
At least you have cats--I don't.

I was just curious because I think the wrap may cause the cats to overheat.... but I could be wrong.

I'd hate to see you melt the new cats over something so simple.

I do like the idea of wrapping the Y-pipe though... I have been kicking around the same idea for a while.

Never thought about that, will have to do some research on it, thank you

Lot's of mixed opinions on that one, almost as bad as catch can, lol. Most complains is from guys with $200-$300 headers. Did about 100 miles today mixed driving city and highway, not much of a difference in transmission temperature, maybe about 5 degrees or so.

Too bad you can't shoot a laser at the cats with them wrapped.

It's too bad he no longer has rear O2 sensors so he could see what temps they are running. Or an EGT probe.

From my understanding 1400° and above makes for very short lived cats.

Just thought of this... he could maybe shoot the O2 sensors with a laser where they stick out of the wrap... problem is trying to do that while driving... lol

If your worried about trans temp adds true cool 40k and be done with it. Inline or bypass the radiator is up to you.. That wrap is going to be negligible in trans temp, but may cause unecessary problems with the exhaust..

My reasoning for thinking about wrapping my Y-pipe was to help the exhaust gasses flow faster.... not so much to lower transmission temperature.

I'm too cheap to have the Y ceramic coated... lol
