In my opinion this is not a mud flap bracket. Pretty sure the parts list calls it a frame extension. My thought is that it is intended to protect the cabin during impact from intrusion of the wheel or caving in. I added shims under the outer bots to get it to angle and increase gap where the tire rubs.
Tough to say, certainly possible. Could also be a frame extension because the flap needed support there from, well, flapping around

Need a GM engineer to chime in.

Right. Would be great to hear from GM. When you see it in person, how stout it is, and it lines up with the frame. It looks like it serves some purpose. Way more than you need for a mud flap. Its stronger than the little braces that hold the fenders on the vehicle.

Anybody add a little more rear lift to their 3” readylift or 3.5” RC?

My ‘22 Tahoe Z71 sits 1/4” to 1/2” lower in the back from ground to fenders than the front, but with the sloped roof looks more substantial.

I’ve lived with it for a year but thinking about doing a little something.

any rubbing at all? those look good.
This, have you reversed with your wheel at full lock yet? I went with the stock size in my new tires only to find out that the MTs are about 1" taller than the Goodyear rubbers.

Stock height but added some new wheels. 22x9.5 +20. Love the way it turned out.

Finished my 2024 Yukon XL AT4 build today!

Got the 3" ReadyLift, Fuel Covert 18x9 +1 offset, and 295/70r18 Mickey Thompson Baja Boss ATs (34.6"x11.7").

Note if you just do the ReadyLift and try to put back on the OEM wheels/tires, you need a 1/4 spacer in the front to clear the upper control arms. The tire was sitting on the ball joint prior to the spacers.

To get the new wheels and tires on, I had to trim back the plastic bumper on the front side of the front wheels and zip tie back the liner, as well as cut back the lower lip of the liner slightly. In the rear of the front wheel wells, I removed the "mudflap" bracket, and had a local metal fabrication shop bend the outer edge back toward the frame, then reinstalled and zip tied the liner back. I didn't want to remove the bracket completely in case it's there for some sort of collision safety. No rubbing anywhere at full lock and maybe a 1/4" of extra room to spare. Happy with how it turned out, rides great. Hope this helps someone in the future.
